My thoughts this is still going to come good! Sadly taking longer and having to take the pain for now but perhaps the future is looking better! On insurance I have 3 cars insured with them and have been happy with the levels given vs price. In addition I sadly made the error of putting petrol in my diesel car a few weeks ago and was very pleased to fine my cover included this cover and the RAC carried out the necessary flush out and small top up with correct fuel. Yes I had to pay the initial cost for the service but before the charge was paid for on my credit card the payment was refunded by BACS payment to my bank account so very happy and no complaints!!
Agree totally - sadly the lunatics have moved in!
I’m Happy! Could be more so but more important to get the basics right so yes comfortable we are moving in the right direction and light appearing at the end of the tunnel!
CR888 - think you will find at the next update that Saga are indeed filling their 2 Cruise Ships at good prices so this will be a turnaround!
Fdbcpoly - did you call up Saga Insurance when you received your quote as I have found they are very flexible when talking to them and usually can make things work for you on price! I have always found them to be competitive!
Yes Banburyboy your informative Saga posts are being missed and with the stock ticking up you are needed more than ever…….
Rox - Great tip and will save me time moving forward and no my daughter did not know this! Thanks for sharing!!
Yep quite right it is total passenger capacity of 999 and I was just going to provide quick update on my friends latest saga trip that was the Baltics trip with a stop off at St Petersburg which was consequently amended to some alternative islands.
Well very pleased to report he had another fantastic trip with excellent food and service! Pleased to report nothing had changed since his long Christmas Cruise that was good to hear with no ‘cutbacks’ so good to hear! Yes there was a little bit of COVID about but no different from there being people with a normal colds so guess we now have to accept it and the right preventative measures were being made to avoid and spreading which was also good news!
Very complimentary on the additional trips out and yes there was one that a number of guests complained about that was not as expected and the whole party received a full refund without asking for it! Now that is Service!!
BB agreed this is medium term stuff but we are working from an extremely low base and feel the only way now is upwards! Looking forward to hearing my friends feedback on his latest cruise on his return! This is only his second cruise with Saga or anyone else for that matter and when he mentioned to more experienced Saga cruisers he wondered about trying a P&O cruise next Christmas they indicated to him that he could be very disappointed with the experience! So really not all Cruises are the same!!!!
Comfortable and Happy with TU BOD know what is needed and will have the team in place to deliver so I say onwards and upwards!
Still feeling confident about tomorrow and will be totally amazed as per BB if updates aren’t as good as I feel they will be! Will be very pleased to provide detailed feedback on cruise detail on my friend’s return as per questions asked by ‘Pokerchips’……..Good Luck everyone for a positive meaningful day tomorrow!
Still here in the background and yes am substantially down on my average but absolutely sure the TU will throw a very good light on the overall Group and think both Insurance and Travel overall will be looking positive and the turnaround will begin to happen and amazed it will have taken this long! My friend currently on a Saga Cruise so will report back when he returns and I get feedback.
Thanks BB looking positive and hopefully now the only way is up!
Definitely NOT what I have heard about Saga Cruises again totally the opposite resulting in further bookings for forthcoming cruises!!! We are talking of high quality product here not a low end cruising company…..
There are two senior roles at circa £80k salaries been placed on their jobs website which I believe bodes well for the quality of staff Saga wish to employ……
Banbury - Well done with good considered findings and appreciated! Please keep up the good work…..!
Agreed it takes a while for a large cruise ship to turn and they are but steady as they go! Foundations are all there in place now the growth needs to come through……I am comfortable that things are moving apace to where they need to be! Load factors on Cruise should notably jump this financial year.
With more recommendations like this perhaps……quality not necessarily quantity! Also the benefit of a small virtually brand new fleet gives the lowest running costs thinking of fuel factor and even so the clientele will pay a little more when they know prices have risen!
We are delighted to be recognised by the consumer organisation Which? once again.
In their latest cruising report, Saga is listed as a Which? Recommended Provider of ocean cruises January 20?22, scoring full marks for customer service, cuisine, and passenger-to-space ratio.
The ratings in this report are sourced from thousands of cruise line guests rating their experience. So why not discover what makes a Saga cruise so popular?
But don’t delay. We now have limited availability on many cruises sailing this year. So act now if you want to sail away on Spirit of Adventure or Spirit of Discovery in 20?22
Doofus thanks for the heads up!
Totally agree that I would suggest things in general are moving forward well and I keep a keen eye on the recruitment pages of Saga website and the indicators of recruitment suggest things are going well as positions and in some cases multiple numbers are coming and going and same role not recruited for so would suggest no problem here!
