Yes ABs total holding can not be critisised, but the signalling value from buying more would be huge, and with regards to the other directors I have often felt that they get too much options handled to them and buy too little themselves.
Swedish business daily, Dagens Industri, just came out with a list of all the short positions on the swedish. That is including shorts under 0,5 % which previously had not been reported publicly. Short positions for Enquest according to that list amounts to 0,83 %.
I did not know that Sunaks wife only started paying UK taxes on the couples enourmous dividends, after public outrage.
Maybe public outrage can persuade Sunak to back off on the confiscation tax too?

Jan, you are right in the sense that this company is very undervalued. However, these figures were true also before the tax, and the confiscating effect from the tax has been shown in todays (and yesterdays for the UK) fall in the share price. It is a hideous thing, and although possible to mitigate somewhat through clever phasing of investment, it is nonetheless a very slippery slope on towards going full commie by the Sunk at the Exchecker.
I see Jacob Rees Mogg speaking out against the tax. He might be from the last century but is always very pragmatic. Kwarteng also not satisfied. Now could you not just rid yourselfs from the Clown and the Sunk cost at the Exchecker? I mean they just party on and break rules any way. Exchange them for the other two that seems to still have their senses.
You might be right in saying that we would have been up to 40 without the talk before, and there might be excaggeration in the sell off, there often is. Hopefully the fools realise that they are shooting themselves in the foot and back off some, in which case this also will be reflected directly in the share price. I have strong confidence in ABs ability to steer the ship in storm, but I would hope that he gets some calm waters to help.
So with the decline being a perfectly rational rerate, due to parasites stealing 25 % of the profits, one wonders where we go from this new level. We are just as undervalued from here as we were the order day from 37 p, unfortunately not more undervalued. Can the parasites be made to back of somewhat? I also note that big money that thought we were undervalued the other day, have a big opportunity to load up with many shares out for sale. Let us hope they do, including AB and management.
The company's value equals the discounted cash flows from here on outwards, it really is not about only 2022 and with high discount values for future profits, the issue is very much 2022-2025 and the value of the company has other thing equal become ca 15-25 % less overnight. Now we are still undervalued, but 29 p is the new 37 p. The effect is the same as when new shares were issued . Hopefully AB can mitigate through smart investment, but right now he has been as much shafted as us.
