You are missing one important point there Wolves which does alter things IMO. The shareholders here are invested in BHR, BHR invested into RMS, that somewhat doubles BHR shareholders risk where the money being used is in effect spread across both companies. BHR’s holdings in RMS increased significantly in value and therefore profits were cashed in and handed back to the shareholders of BHR as a dividend after taking money, the initial reason for selling a tranche of RMS and putting it into Paraytec where it was required. Now, BHR is not a charity, it is an investment vehicle. It put itself first as it holds a duty to its shareholders greater than that of its investment.
