Unfortunately Greek wildfires are nothing new. Also, I'm sure there a quite a few Greeks that need/want to get home.

This is brutal, went in again earlier this afternoon but I think I should have waited. Expected a bounce tomorrow, but now I'm very doubtful.

Sounds quite positive from the podcast, and just noticed that Peel Hunt has given a buy rating today.

Well said Hola ... I honestly thought the SP would tank this morning and there would be a big sell-off, but so far it seems there is quite a bit of buying, hopefully nothing but decent news from now on.

Fingers crossed Damian, hopefully this is as bad as it gets. One thing we do know is that there will be increased spending in defence globally, so this should bear well going forward. A change to the CEO (Board) is no doubt a positive and maybe there will be chatter of take-over. The dividend has also been maintained.

Interim results tomorrow, and I have no idea what to expect. If it is mediocre/more bad news, I hope this has already been fed in, and we get only a slight fall in the SP, however, since the end of April it has tried to push forward. Was going to sell all last week and am hoping it doesnt fall below £10 as I don't really want to buy in again. Saying that the SP has always rebounded sharply after bad news. Fingers crossed for tomorrow, just a glimmer would be good, and after all, there is a war going on.

Fingers Crossed Volcano, not been a good year so far for the SP. Very undervalued in my opinion.

I'm starting to suffer from Vertigo

Today's cumulative volume ended up over 100m (102,258,672), it was around 40m at 3.30pm - and for the last hour it seems to be mostly buying.

Lloyds had the second highest volume - 66m. We shouldn't speculate, but its hard not to ...

it went from £112 to £115 in a matter of a few minutes. All I can find is the news of the extension of the partnership with Microsoft and the news about the abandoned merger discussion with Orange from a couple of days ago.

Well said Rich ... but today is a bit concerning, we could well see sub 106 as the day progresses. I checked the trades yesterday and there were some very big sells, which I find disheartening - the divi is due (?) and the SP is on it's arse. It certainly can't be 'profit taking'. One thought that I do have, in hope rather than knowledge or logic, is that the divi is being factored in, or the 'market' knows something we don't.

There seems to be something going on here - I also wonderd about 'manipulation' . The buy-backs seem to have increased as the price has been falling.

Waded in again below 108, as I did at 111 - which I though would be the support level. Not sure what is happening with the SP, but the buyback programme is due to end on the 17 November, the day after the half year results. I'm pretty certain the buy back will have finished before the results are published and I had hoped this would be the last day - but now very unsure.

The next 2 weeks will be very interesting and I'm really hoping they know what they are doing - and the 16 November will bring positive news. 140 is currently a pipe-dream and 120 also seems a bit far-fetched at the moment. Promised myself I wouldn't go in again and I'm bracing myself for another 2 weeks of falls and again having to decide whether to buy more before the results are due - in the hope of something positive. The dividend situation is worrying, but I'm hoping it is covered and it will be business as usual. I'm using gut-instinct at the moment as I'm not clued-up enough to understand the correlation between the buy-back programme, equity value and debt - hopefully some of you guys are better placed to understand what is going on than I am.
