I'm guessing they could make it state-owned ... Personally, I bottled it and more or less sold out with a 45% loss - left a bit in there, but only so I could still have my hands in it to see what the outome will be, as I was fearful for what tomorrow brings. Just got out of Poly with a small profit and have a nice share certificate for Evraz in a drawer somewhere. I didn't need another victim of war ....
Today is a concern, and I can only think that politics is at play. They are the third biggest producer in the World and the grade is second to none. They are an important company for Ukraine, especially with regards to any rebuild, and I would like to think that a suitor is sniffing the resource. But why they are being treated like this can only be seen as power playing. This is the only thing I can think of - why would they treat a great Ukranian asset with such contempt. Only my thoughts and I realise there is a war going on ..... but!
I topped up this morning Pedro, bit puzzled why the SP hasn't moved at all this morning.
Hi Grippa, you are right - and I was one of them. Just topping up and hoping to piggy back on the good news for Spirent (like the others I guess). According to HL todays day gain/loss is still not available? But Calnex does have a tendancy to lag behind Spirent.
This is what I said 2 days ago - "Personally Lloyds has been a great stock for me, but only because of averaging and a great divi to boot. Looking to offload 30% very soon, sure as eggs is eggs there will no doubt be better priced entry points to bring the average down even further, but the 1 million buy has given some food for thought."
- I will definately let you know when I offload if it hits the price I am comfortable with I will - I know what it is. If it sinks again, I am happy with the divi. Win, win - I love Lloyds. Are you testing me Longtime?
Longtimeinvestor - there is no way I will ever disagree with you, but many of us have seen 50+ appear and disappear as quickly. This year may have been different, except for the stupid 2/3 weeks at the beginning of this year when the SP dropped from 46/47 to 41 (again) - shorters that took advantage of this will be taking profits, and long term holders will either jump ship, slice, or hold. Yesterday, I think, is why the drop happened, today it happened again, but not as bad,.48 will see the same, if it can hold to 50, the same will happen as happened on the last 2 occassions - selling pressure will succumb, it is what it is.
Hate to say - but I think the worse is now over. Onwards and upwards
Have to agree Darbinator - looks like the Yanks are trying to trash it again this afternoon. Hopefully good old British spunk will stop it happening again. 50+ - it is certainly trying, go on you beautiful black gee-gee
