Didn't we have a shortage of CO2 production last year? Maybe they should look at the opportunity to use the stored CO2 for bottling and sales too.
I've just re-read the latest announcement, and they've covered their own arses again by not saying which year this "early February" will take place in.
Maybe 2023 will be our year!!
...it looks as though early February is nearer to late February without so much as an update.
Something is happening, as I now have some value in my HL Fund and Share account. It still says NUOG though, so I am not entirely sure if it is a blip or if it is real!!
Gary Smith of course...
I think we are waiting for Gary Jones to ring the Lonfon Stock Exhange bell at 8am in a blaze of publicity!
I particularly like the part where the previous names section lists Nu-Oil and Gas up until 21st January, which as you say, suggests that we are good to go!!
Fingers and toes crossed this time!!
I need it to come back at around 10p to break even. That's not going to happen, so I am interested to see how the market reacts and see what the forward plan is before deciding what to do next.
I'm tempted just to get out of Dodge and sell up at the first opportunity, but this is a new venture and hopefully a chance to turn over a new leaf and start a fresh.
Let's see what the next few days brings.
As it was the 14th December when NUOG advised of the latest delay with listing, will we be waking up to more news in the morning?
Hopefully not, which I would hope means that the listing will go ahead.
I class getting anything out of this as a result, so will keep the fingers and toes crossed and see what happens.
"The lads here must be really feeling the pinch if their spending money depends on a bob from Nuog."
Not really as this investment has already been written off. I am just irked at the board setting out their stall and then not even a cursory nod to shareholders to say things are taking longer than expected. If you really want to disassociate yourself with the previous regime, there are simple things that don't take too much effort that will bring the shareholders with you, not against you.
I must admit thinking the same over the last few days since the latest self-imposed deadline was missed without so much as a whisper from the board.
I even ventured onto the NUOG website to get an email address to ask why no updates given the positive note in that latest RNS.
"The parties remain committed to finalising the transaction as soon as possible and are targeting completion and admittance to trading on the Main Market towards the end of this quarter."
Then I got too hot and couldn't be bothered to waste any energy on them.
Totally agree!
I have 4 mates who were all at Wembley (with tickets) on Sunday and after the carnage that they witnessed have been taking LFT's every day since and negative. 3 out of 4 now have symptoms and the PCR results have come back positive.
I was talking to one of the lads at a funeral on Tuesday, so I am daily testing with LFT's and all are negative.
What is the point in taking these cheap tests if they are not picking up the asymptomatic cases?
"But then you have another level of issue of self test. Having a kit that shows a negative is going to be beneficial. So how long do the lines stay on the kit. Whats to stop me (being positive) getting someone else who is negative to do a test and either showing that result to the care home, or registering that on my app. There little point in having a test that has a high degree of specificity and sensitivity, if the mechanics of how its used, and the ability to undermine the integrity of the result makes the accuracy of the test itself redundant.
So even a layman like me can see that allowing carte blanche access to test kits by the person in the street in a non-regulated fashion could potentially lead to more problems than it solves."
Exactly the point that I have been wrestling with, is a home use test a good thing? Personally, I would feel much safer if you had to go to an official outlet where you can take the test and this is uploaded to a health passport of some description. I can imagine a black market of people selling their negative tests, causing untold damage.
It's across from a brewery too, I might apply!!
IMO the Government should be ready for a spike in people thinking that they have the covid symptoms.
My 7 year old has only been back at school for the best part of a week, and he has already got a cold and a lousy cough. How many of these bugs are going to be transferred to parents who hit the panic button and apply for tests?
That's a lot of tests going to be needed!
I can get my average down much easier now...
Hi Wobwat,
Would you consider jumping back in on the strength of this news?
I've been undecided about which way to go with this share for quite some time but all things considered, I have decided to stay with the courage of my convictions and made a top up to my investment.
My hope is that even if there isn't the transformational news that we all desire, the AGM will provide NUOG with an almighty shake up that does start to deliver.
Unfortunately, a family funeral prevents my attendance but judging by the sentiment on the bb over the past few days especially, I have no doubt that the sentiment will be made quite clear. ATB
