Hi antigua, I have no idea how they work out the complexities of these kind of deals, but it does make sense that there is some kind of clear cut off point where the new owner takes over financial responsibility for certain contracts etc. The tailings dam repair and subsequent stockpiled ore may or may not be another example.

A good day. Not only are we a day closer to knowing with certainty the ownership structure of Havieron, but we have heard from the CEO of Newmont that there is an end in sight to the remediation process around Telfer’s tailings facility and it’s not as far off as some have suggested and can be measured in weeks rather than months. No surprises really that Newmont are just getting on with it.

And Greatland tweet today to reiterate their priorities and strategy.

I had a few minutes spare so I’ve done my own detailed chart predicting the future trading pattern.I can’t share a link as it’s all in my head and you don’t want to go there. Anyway the chart shows that soon there will be confirmation for all shareholders to converge for a bit of a do at the Breakout Club, there’ll be a good spread put on and music by the Bollinger band. Talking of Bollinger we’ll be drinking the stuff out of teacups, with or without handles, we’re not fussy, watch out no one is trying to spike yours though. The party will be head and shoulders above anything else,the drinks will be free and never run out as the venue has overbought. The wise ones will know when it’s time to leave when the flash ones start showing off their wedge, the daft ones start showing their bottom and the angry ones are competing with each other to see who has got the most relative strength.(Sounds like a usual night at my local)

P.S. if you’re not sure whether to join the party I can say the Bollinger Band are worth seeing, I heard them practicing yesterday for the big event, they did a great version of Steve Winwood’s “Back in the high life”.

Someone on ADVFN posted they had received communication that there was an outstanding claim for an employee payment being resolved with legal advice which was the cause of the hold up. Depending on outcome will determine amount if any of AAU shares for distribution.

Cheers Hopefullygold. So according to the article there’s the answer,Newmont have had to promise to fix the tailings dam as soon as possible, you can’t say fairer than that. I can’t see why it would be in their interests to do any different.

Hi James, obviously I have no idea how long it will take. But I do know I’m going on holiday later in the year and that is only six weeks away, I’m looking forward to that and looking forward to the ownership of Havieron being resolved, confident that the process is IMO in good hands.

There’s not really anything new from what I can see in this latest article. We already know about the tailings facility. I think most people will assume that is part of any negotiations anyway. Sounds like BAU to me.
