The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I think FID will definitely occur in 2024. I have no knowledge of how or why, but it will.
What a moronic post DecidedLeverage....
My last post was removed. What the hell?
Assuming the share price stays above 9p, they will all be taken up.
Well - maybe some people forget to do it or leave it too late so let's say 95%!
LaticsRule - That is madness. You may as well exercise the warrants, sell them immediately, then keep that on the side to re-invest when there is progress. It's essentially free money as it is right now.
My warrants have been exercised!
I'm 99% sure this has finally happened after 3 months because I called HSBC and complained. Even though they blamed Rockhopper I'm certain they were just being useless.
Moral of the story is if you plan to exercise your warrants then keep on top of your broker!
The warrants are 100% valid until the end of 2023, no doubt about that. My issue is that I have exercised them 2 months ago and still haven't received them (nor have HSBC taken the money from me for them!). It's probably an HSBC issue but they are claiming that they are still waiting for RKH.
JEBR - yes that's what I understood, that it happened at the end of every month. But I applied to purchase these back in April, and still no sign of it going through.
Is anyone else having issues getting their warrants exercised? I'm with HSBC Investdirect and I applied to exercise the warrants on 19/04 and still haven't received them. They are claiming they are waiting for Rockhopper to issue them but it appears to me this happens multiple times a month so I can't understand what the hold up is....
I usually don't agree with or believe anything that "Market-Dealer" has to say because it has been proven time and again to be complete nonsense.
But on this one occasion I don't think that what you said is the right strategy LTT - Unless it is absolutely required for financial reasons (as you allude to) then this is not the right time to sell.
Buying is a different kettle of fish as that requires you to have free funds that you don't need for the next 2 years - because that is the time frame here. If your buying now and happy to lock those funds up for 2 years then hopefully you will come back to find a pot of gold.
I'm always keen on a bit of PI grouping together for the good of our holdings. I'm up to about ~700k shares now, I'm sure a good many of us do have a large holding in this company and could have our voice heard.
That being said I think we will know before any approach comes, as whoever is considering it will start buying as many shares as they can for as little as possible driving the SP up in the mean time before making the offer. I would expect to see a holdings RNS before any formal approach is made.
This is a FANTASTIC point. RKH should be screaming from the rooftops about this. 245m barrels to RKH....
*wildcat wells
I really can't fathom how the market is missing this. Is the risk really that great that this isn't going to go in RKH's favour eventually?
I'm starting to think I'm missing something. It makes no sense to me that we have slipped from ~15p to ~9p just because the Italians did what they were obviously going to do in filing for annulment (and I also don't understand how we only made it to ~15p on the win!).
If you were looking at the COS on getting ~200m in cash on this it must be 80%+? There is more excitement around Wildcard wells with 10% COS that send share prices up.
Or is it simply just the market is too short sighted and looking for a quick buck elsewhere?
Anything over 200m and surely we gap on open straight to 50p+
PennyorPound - They took the money for my subscription amount, but nothing for the additional shares I asked for as yet. I just want to know why if other people have been sold additional shares why I missed out...
I still haven't had any money taken for additional shares sadly for me, HSBC haven't given me an answer as to why yet.
I've only had the subscription amount taken out of my account so far. Hopefully I haven't missed out on the additional I requested.
Wow how is this not very simple.
You are entitled to 1 in every 8 shares you already have in the open offer.
E.G: if you have 100 shares, you are entitled to buy 12 shares at 7p.
If you are taking up the open offer, you are entitled to 1 warrant for every 2 shares purchased in the open offer.
E.G you bought 12 shares, you receive 6 warrants that have a purchase price of 9p.
The warrants have an expiry of the end of 2023, so you can purchase them any time until then, or not at all if the share price doesn't move.
Additionally, you can apply to buy MORE than your entitlement, so if others decide not to participate you can buy more and get access to more warrants. This is not guaranteed though like the entitlement.
I had to send a secure message on HSBC InvestDirect to ask them to buy my allotment (and a few hundred thousand more if they are available...)
Using their corporate actions page just wasn't working correctly.
"There is your problem ! At the end of the day Sam is intending on diluting your holdings. Since when has diluting your holdings been a good thing ?"
Ralph - Dilution is bad, I agree. But it is not without merit - we have cash now to last until FID regardless of OM.
That's why I say it's only upside from here. The wolves are not at the door.
