Risk selling20 May 2021 22:49
listened all week to this and here’s my thoughts, great ISA commentary btw thank u (I would love to have done it but I can’t compete with what u do so I’m happy to say I’m not the person)
Why would anyone risk selling when a yes could come at any point (within days, day 2 tomorrow) and i think the odds are on :
“Yes - but with xxxxxx changed”
I’m Guessing a RNS with scheme passed either Friday 5pm or Monday 7am
Tomorrow could be a day to take your positions as the sensible have said all that’s changed is we’ve heard the FCA argument... lots of noise and threats but many many holes if we’re honest
Like Someone has already said the court was there to go through if the scheme was fair, votes have been cast and a massive yes has been through, the ombudsman has voted yes, and FCA want a better deal...(in a nutshell)
If it was a resounding NO it would have been stated yesterday
So....
things will be happening in the background between the two party’s, right or Not that’s how business work, the board have said they actively speak with the FCA
The judge doesn’t want to make the difficult decision to put amigo out of business with a piece of info from the FCA about cash , the FCA arnt there to do so, but they have asked bullied questions for a better deal.. the only way if a better deal is to come at the last minute with a barrage of questions to shake the tree
This SOA is quite a hot topic atm and the FCA need to get this right (as in can’t just be seen to pass anything) so the hoops will be laid out, amigo will jump through “some” as they should and the judge has an Easier time signing it off
Everyone’s happy, and the blue print for a SOA through the FCA is made
If I’m Not mistaken Past court cases got bought up at the hearing, so the FCA need to be clever with what they do or can get railroaded on the next (judge..what’s good for us is good for them etc etc... )
Look at the bigger picture...
Why do the FCA and judge want to make amigo insolvent...
THEY DONT, IT DOESNT HELP ANYTHING OR ANYONE
