Proposed Directors of Tirupati Graphite explain why they have requisitioned an GM. Watch the video here.
People really need to stop panicking
Have a look at this interview from yesterday I think I was, seems we are all ready to go and if New York and California can open in the next month or so.. and the movies are ready to be released we could be open for business
Sounds like if movies are
Bought fwd and everyone is happy we could open much sooner...
More I think about it the more it’s a perfect plan by mooky
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/10/05/ceo-of-regal-cinemas-owner-on-closing-movie-theaters-during-pandemic.html
I hope everyone listened to the live interview last week on about finances....??
Clearly not... they are not running out in nov!!
Do some research people
Same as all the de rampers then....???
Everyone can see covid has changed the world and business are adapting to get through it...
Will cinemas and Cine world the 2nd largest cinema who have been through world wars, Spanish flus, financial crisis, sky tv, Napster, Netflix, VOD streaming to name a
Few and always come through so this will be
Nothing different
all everyone wants is a cheaper entry and be greedy (it’s easy isn’t it) board full of de rampers and rampers
But truth is this will be far above what it is now next year... if some people don’t want to wait that long then that’s the main issue here
Nothing wrong with cinema, Hollywood or Cine prior to Covid, this will actually make them a leaner more profitable business like many out there...
Hollywood isn’t dead and we are 100% not going to stay at home streaming things exactly like football isn’t dead just because you can stream that!!
Amazing how all the shorters and de rampers are stating all different debt figures
We’ve heard 8, 6, 4.... dear oh dear!
Debt is part of business now and actually home life
Nothing has killed off cinema.. and cinema/Hollywood will be hear to stay for many tens of years!
it’s a correct move to re structure everything and take stock so to come out the other side of covid with a leaner business.. exactly what other intelligent companies are doing
Bounced off 22 quite a few times before a leg up
So if people sell surely the 8% shorts will just Hoover them up and job done
Nice exit and nice profit...
Maybe after this drop the SP will be more stable going fwd if we can get rid of these shorts
Serious question people... 8% shorts as of last week
Are they going to have closed these at this price, surely that’s the best in terms of risk to get out?
Wow I never thought it would open that low...
Crazy cheap Now as I believe in cinema, they will get through this
Wonder how many shorts have closed on this now... surely that’s the bottom for them??
Could see a bounce up if so
Very surprised by this... doesn’t make much sense hence why The rumour about the temporary closure of quiet sites made Much more sense but hey they have decided and I will stick with there decision
They know how much cash they are saving so it’s all about putting measures in place to get to get through in the best shape
Long term doesn’t really matter, hopefully the big players will use this to Hoover up
I do wonder when the large shorts will decide to close up and maybe cause the bounce back up... who knows (I won’t be shorting this for this reason)
Who knows...
@johnht
Why is it bad news to be closing sites that don’t make a
Profit or shifting to open
One a few days rather than 6 a week
Leaning out the business to maximise profits and cash flow
Would u just keep everywhere open then if titles r being pulled?
No Matter how u look it’s a smart move for the business if that’s what the studios want to do
If I want a look at the sites what may stay open it’s been leaked here it looks like
@ianharding
What do you think about the update of closing only non profitable sites it looks like??

Someone
Mentioned the director buy... well maybe it Looks like the director buys made sense if they knew they were going to possibly close only some quiet/non profit sites before the
Big boys ( new York, LA and California ) come online
Just squeezing that profit out of the business with
Bare minimum operating costs
Nice move if it all comes Together
Changed the title Ian

-So they temporarily close non profitable sites
-Open more busy sites
-New York, LA California open
-Save a load of cash doing so
-another few million from tenet in opening states
-Move opening times again to save costs
-Get more people into each viewing
-Cut down on staff needed
-saving measure probably go along way to waiver sign off
Mooky knows what he’s doing.. They are actively taking measures to strip down the business to bare minimum while the films are thin on the ground but still turning over a profit...
Makes Perfect sense...
Was Never about closing completely as many genuine posters were saying !
Careful with the shorts if this gets round....we know the “bouncy-ability “
Great move!
Update Sunday AM: Cineworld has addressed and clarified the gloomy news out there about the chain shutting down its UK venues and U.S. No. 2 circuit Regal in a tweet this AM.
“We can confirm we are considering the temporary closure of our UK and US cinemas, but a final decision has not yet been reached. Once a decision has been made, we’ll update all staff and customers as soon as we can. We expound more on this in this weekend’s box office report, but distribution sources are informing us that the shutdown in the US looks to be partial, i.e. 65 locations out of roughly the 340-400 that Regal has reopened during the pandemic will shutter. Essentially these are the lower grossing locations in proximity to higher-grossing ones in the same market. Fifty Regal locations are expected to keep operating during weekend hours.

Just a thought... all these pi’s stating about shorting but what people don’t realise is that much large shorters that have been here for months waiting for the right time to exit.. that point could be anytime... which could trap a lot of people in if they decide to close there shorts at any point. 8% reversing the SP upwards rather quickly
It might drop a bit it might not... long term it’s going one way, up...
Don’t get burnt with your shorts
Great list RS
I think this is a real effort to get the studios to wake up
“When you have a number of aces up your sleeve, you certainly can play with a good hand:
1. 10 years of profit and performance to demonstrate a sustainable business model (pre-covid) in contrast to companies who reported annual losses pre-covid.
2. A Paramount decree elapsing opening studios and media giants to take over and form their own cinema group; in turn up-selling merchandise and other packages to manipulate marketing presence during trailers as well (Disney holiday packages anyone?).
3. 2021 with the largest listing of movies and for Universal, their biggest year in history ($4bn box office in the making).
4. Vaccines significantly ahead of where we were in March when closures were about.
5. Sufficient liquidity to perform as-is to September 2021 (11 months).
6. 20% family stake and option to go private if need be.
Play your hand carefully.

NYC to closeToday 19:40
schools and non essential businesses from Wednesday, so cinema was never going to reopen there any time soon, i can see AMC following Cines' lead and following suit, because until the main markets in the USA reopen, films will continue to be pulled, maybe this will turn out to be a good move by Mooky after all, i hope so, time will tell”
Got a short on a Sunday... yeah good one!!!
You might have placed a order... but what a fool to let that play out not knowing what will Happen

So I’m fully behind Cine until full recovery years to come as I don’t believe Cine will die or cinema will
Be taken over by any of these platforms (sky, vod, Netflix etc all have tried but all have failed)
I don’t believe he will
Close every cinema this close to loosing tenant figures in New York and cal, no reason to... doesn’t make sense!
So if he closes down “some areas” or even opens on half the days he saves cash and still gets people through the door
If he stayed open I believe we will see a revised schedule for bond and others which is good
I think this has been done deliberately and has leaked from the board somehow to shake the studios and governments up
Mooky could be playing hard ball but I think it’s a very shrewd plan from a businessman with cinema and studios close to his heart
Mmmmm
Burton on trent Cine you can book all week this week
I just can’t believe they are closing all cinemas so close to getting tenant out in New York and California in a few weeks maybe
Surely a reduced number sounds like a perfect plan tbh
Rumours rumours maybe
