How to spot a paid De-Ramper.17 Apr 2025 19:46
How many of these Doc & Stockmaid & Adw & CJ1986 are there, since October last year "DOZENS".
“ Spotting a paid de-ramper on a share chat board (like those on ADVFN, Stocktwits, or Reddit) can be tricky because they often blend in with regular posters. But there are some clear red flags to look out for:
1. Over-the-Top Negativity (Without Substance)
• Constantly bashing the stock without offering any new or credible information.
• Using phrases like placing incoming, short on cash, anything negative etc.
• Ignoring or downplaying all positive news.
2. High Post Frequency (See Doc/Adw/ CJ1986 etc).
• Posting multiple times per day, every day.(See Doc/Adw/ CJ1986 etc).
• Often active during trading hours to influence intraday sentiment.(See Doc/Adw/ CJ1986 etc).
• Might reply to their own posts or bump their own threads to keep them visible.(See Doc/Adw/ CJ1986 etc).
3. Dismisses All Criticism Aggressively,
• Instantly attacks anyone who questions their posts.
• Never engages in genuine debate—just shuts down anything remotely positive or buries it under a mountain of FUD posts.
4. Lack of Personal Investment Insight
• Posts are usually generic and could apply to any stock.
• No real due diligence—just reposts or exaggerates which in general is rubbish or lies.
5. New or Suspicious Account
• Often a newly created account with few followers and limited activity outside of one stock.
• May use stock tickers or hype words in the username (e.g. “GME2MOON”).
6. Repetitive & Coordinated behavior
• Copy-paste messages, memes, or slogans across multiple forums or threads.
• May work with multiple burner accounts to upvote or agree with themselves and other de-rampers.
7. Focuses on destabilising investors, creating doubt, spurious claims etc etc, basically throw as much shxt as possible in the hope some sticks.
• Always pushing a near-term negative that never materializes.”
