Yes they start at the lowest zone and then work the way up the zones. The simple method is you have to run packers for zonal isolation so the previous perforated zone is isolated before you move on to the next one. You then have to run guns on slickline to perforate again. Personally I don't think this is happening as its a more complex completion to be run. Seen no evidence of guns being run which tells me this was a TCP (tubing conveyed perforating) method for 1 zone. However I could be wrong as we've not seen what's happening everyday.

Issues always arise in O&G, just got to find a method to overcome those issues. Seems to me that they are trying everything they can to rectify the issues. You don't try this much if you know it wont flow. Look at how quickly they shut down the testing in Romania as they knew about the mud filter cake and that it would need acid. All we have seen is nitrogen pumped into the annulus, pump on and off multiple times and slugging once (common for slugging to be required numerous times)

I have issues with updates as ops are progressing and they shouldn't be reported until its final. Look at the update that BMD issued, what happens if they slug the well or they decide to carry out a deep nitrogen lift or acid job via coiled tubing and then it comes in? all is good and people who sold will be annoyed.
Just look back at the update from the initial drill, first target wasn't successful and they commenced a sidetrack - think there was about a 40% drop in SP. Then they drilled the sidetrack and announced the discovery and SP recovered circa 50%.

yes that's correct Rubey, is what I meant, was just being lazy in a round about way of saying their plans are not new news. We knew they would apply for planning permission once all the paperwork was in place.

The application for this was submitted in December so is been about a while now.

Thing is a slickline BOP is installed on the well so you wont see a flare. They've either entered the well with slickline or are about to.

The guys videos are good but its all about the timing, we've only been shown what the swampies have wanted to show us. When they videoed the flare stack the other day it could have been on a PBU (pressure build up) or the video could have been from days ago, we just don't know.

Could be multiple things happening. Running or pulling a plug & prong / correlation run / running or pulling down hole gauges.

Mickvick; questions will be asked if it doesn’t flow, especially as A2 flowed gas. Oil is still an uncertainty and if it doesn’t flow the project just reverts back to what it originally was, a gas project. All the data points towards it flowing but Mother Nature is unpredictable.

Agree Chris, and TBH everything he has said has been spot on. He called the perf around my timings which was good and its normal for them to do an acid wash. People slate him for whatever reason, I don't know the guy but he's given us more info than those around the site that only decide to show what they want and tell lies. Lied about activity during the drilling phase, lied about the logging truck not being used, lied about not being perforated...im sure the lies will continue.....

Yes tight hole basically means no news out, no discussions on the project, no updates issued to companies. Highly likely those companies working directly on the project have had to sign a NDA.

It's early in the process so treat this with a degree of caution.

It's not confirmation of oil flowing.. But it's a positive sign.

Hey Heid, wasn't really being harsh on Adrian or attacking him, just pointing out he's nuts in a kind way! posting on twitter all last night without knowing whats happening. Yes he may know what some items of kit look like from his days of twitching in the trees at HH but he doesn't know how it all works. Just look at today, saying that N2 cannot be pumped down a well without coil tubing lol that's incorrect. Alistair Laing was bang on with what he said and they would pump that N2 via a unit and into the tubing or annuli (depending on their setup) via a tee off the tree. This in turn will help the reduce the hydrostatic pressure to help the reservoir fluids flow to surface. He also asked if anyone has seen a Weatherford CT unit on site? well no they haven't because they don't do CT in the UK so you never will. lol He was right about one thing thou, you cant burn nitrogen so i'll give him that one.

Just looked at the pics on twatter and all of the ibcs have now been moved away to the side of the site. They was originally amongst the well test set up. Tells me they’ve been used for some sort of treatment so I would say well has been perforated. Be good to know what’s in the long wooden crate next to the ibcs, looks like could possibly be a pump & they have chains rigged up on the rig.

Most could flow naturally to start off with but then would require some form of lift. A high %age of the wells at Wytch Farm use ESPs or nodding donkey's. The clean up phase, pressure and completion fluid weight is key in getting the oil or gas to flow to surface, you get any of these wrong then it becomes a battle. We know the porosity is good and the cores look excellent.
Just got to hope the reservoir was not damaged when it was drilled and the liner was run and cemented in place.
