Uggy, I try not to go over old ground, what's done is done. Lots of lessons learned and what ifs, that's what exploration drilling is, main point is they get it right next time. They now believe the oil to be condensate and have modelled this in the cash flow. WN was always a gas play and the oil was a surprise to me. Guess now all eyes will be on Deltic to see what happens there in Q3 or 4.

At least they have started the process for the permit amendments. Is as I thought all along since September, reservoir damage occurred from water based fluids and an oil based mud system is needed to drill the reservoir section.

ENVIRONMENT AGENCY PERMITS
Rathlin Energy (UK) Limited applied to vary the WNA Environment Agency (EA) permit in July 2021. A ‘schedule 5’ request for more information has recently been received and responded to. Whilst submitting the information required, the use of oil based drilling muds was included to be used through the Permian strata only, in line with the stipulations within the Standard Rules Permit SR2015 No1.
A permit has also been applied for to use oil-based muds at the WNB site through the Permian strata as detailed within the Standard Rules drilling permit SR2015 No1.
Rathlin Energy (UK) Limited anticipates that these permits will be issued in the coming months.

Might need something from EA thou, especially if the analysis say's they need to drill the reservoir section with a different mud system. I've said this could be the case since sept so keen to see what the analysis says.

Ref WN: my opinion is we won’t see any activity there this year. News is due, which I think will then be followed by planning.

I think we would all like that to happen CB, but realistically we all know that's too high. £202m for a single non producing asset that's going to require further capex to get it producing would probably be the most outrageous deal the NS has ever seen.

Even thou the SP was down 48% during the same period, they've worked very hard and truly deserve the 55% increase on their commercial package...

We didn’t get any news for 11 days when the previous long stop date expired on 14th Feb.

Updates have been really poor since October. The dynamic duo must be so busy they just don’t have time for us peasants! We’ve had more price monitoring extensions than actual news this YTD.

Not had much to say tbh, just been watching and patiently waiting. I think the Corallian deal can’t be too far off now. What it’s going to look like is anyone’s guess. My guess on Victory alone would be something around 75p per therm with an escalation cause linked to an average price once production commences. No one is going to be paying £2 or £3 per therm straight up.

WN value will out in time and the modelled flow rates were good. Just need to put it into action now and get that horizontal well drilled. Production in the UK is now more important than ever with the current situation in Ukraine so it bodes well for the planning meeting next week.

EWT operations on the Kirkham Abbey formation at the West Newton A-2 well were temporarily suspended in August 2019, as modifications to handle to the newly recognized liquid content of the originally approved gas testing programme were limited by equipment availability at the time. Gas flow to surface was achieved and flared during operations, but reservoir fluids were not recovered.

WNA wasn’t damaged. The test was stopped due to identifying a liquid column and the test was set up for gas.
