One day that is correct: when it comes to a deal like this it’s not all about who it is and who offers the most money, 88 have a lot to consider, below are few key main points which they would have selected their preferred bidder on.
How much money is offered for what % of buy in and what % does that leave 88 with
Are 88 costs carried forward free and if so how long / or how many wells
How many wells does each bidder want to drill in near term and long term
I honestly think that BP & CoP have offered a deal, but it just depends how aggressive they’ve been...
The process and the timing is all standard practice with a farm out, if anything the timings are quicker than anything I’ve seen before.

HRZ unconventional FO planned for H219, BH/USGS report got nothing to do with the current FO as its CONVENTIONAL.

I'd be happy for the conventional FO to get moved to end of Q2 so it tied it with the unconventional. who knows both could end up being rolled up into the same deal. We could then have a good 6 months of news flow. HRZ drill in late Q3, then conventional seismic plus drills Q1 20, plus Yukon. You've only got to look at CLNR and the Shell deal (which wasn't that great tbh) they've lost around 40% on their SP since their highs in Feb when the deal was announced. Another few months of waiting not going to bother me.

The FO process is very long winded. A lot of due diligence to be done by the farmiee before submitting a commercial offer. 88e then have to evaluate all of those commercial offers and deem which one is best. Once a commercial offer has been accepted it then moves onto legal negotiations and once you get lawyers involved it becomes a nightmare, especially if you have a stubborn one that refuses to budge on certain clarifications. I was involved in a tender which took a year to complete and it was only for £35 mil. This will be far more than that & a lot more complex. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets extended again.

Winx was just a sideshow which the BOD did very well to get on the cheap as they are good at getting / making deals.
We will see how good the BOD really are thou with the news on the FO, people cant keep blaming the drills on DW, he knows next to nothing about O&G. His experience is raising cash and making deals, if the FO fails then that's when i'll blame DW.
Don't get upset over 144 mboe when we've got 2.21 billion on conventional and 0.8-2 billion on unconventional (to be fully proven of course)
1 x FO news within next 13 working days plus the other FO news by end of June. or maybe both at once ;-)

So I will say well TD’ed this morning @ around 9 & moved straight to p&a. Loggers & geologists sent off plus wireline equipment backloaded without running any logs. Expected the backlash & tbh that’s why I don’t really post on these boards. If they was appraising the well then a number of logs would have been ran at a minimum plus a well test, you can’t appraise a well on lwd alone. Also as for the bonus structure find that just equals a cock up! If you have to initiate a unplanned sidetrack to your intended primary target then something’s gone wrong. Let’s hope west newton is third time lucky and MS delivers. Doesn’t matter what facts I put on here as people still have to decide if they believe or not.

That’s some wireline programme! 15 years in the industry & never came across 10 days worth of wireline logging. Well isn’t even deep....

No well is ever declared commercial on Drilling, it’s all about the flow tests. Analysing the cuttings and then comparing those against the wireline logs will be crucial in selecting the areas to perforate and test from.

Seahawk 14:29; my take on the vague RNS in not clarifying what they’ve drilled through & what they have to drill through next is that they don’t actually know! Seen it time and time again over the years in this industry and would be the third time in a month! One of the useless fuckers had to initiate a sidetrack to hit their main target as was a country mile off where they should have been!

Everyone is thinking about the TH being related to Winx, but what IF it’s related to the FO??

So had a chance to review the RNS & do some minor research: It states that no Hydrocarbons present in the Seabee @ 4,272 yet in the depth vs time schedule the Seabee is stated as being at around 3,800 & the Nanushuk is around 4,800 & we intersected that zone @ 4,460 - 4,530. On the horseshoe well they drilled that to a total depth of 6,000ft & encountered more than 160ft of net play in several zones in the Nanushuk. They then sidetracked that well to 8,215ft & encountered more than 100ft of net play. Could it be that we are in fact not deep enough? I seriously hope that they’ve not messed up with the depths. (Or in our case they have lol) could it be that the moderate oil shows are in fact from the Seabee?? & everything to the east of horseshoe is slightly deeper than prognosis??

I guess time will tell bluray (sorry to hear about previous losses).

People blame DW for the bad drills but its really not his fault, its the team/s, he's just the fall guy at the front of the operation. 88e team would have done their due diligence on WINX before committing to an investment. Fingers x'ed he delivers on the FO deal and we can go back to Icewine again.
