So, the last time there was an election following a caretaker government, the share price didn’t actually react until 4 1/2 trading days (1 day was Christmas Eve) before election day. We are still 6 1/2 days out.

The huge rise was solely based on speculation that Hasina would give the goahead. Even though she had pledged not too. The share price continued to rise to over £3 the year following this election.

I know many of you are feeling disheartened but don’t be. The positive noise coming out of Bangladesh regarding domestic coal is greater now than it has been in 20 years.

It was good to get any fund raising doubts out the way early

Simple reason for SP isn’t rising is theres nobody buying or selling. Although we are all confident, it appears the big money isn’t yet.

It could come at anytime though, even today maybe 🤷‍♂️

We’ve already heard from the horses mouth that they are going to mine coal in the north.

Why are these locations important?

GCM’s logistical plan relies on the Jamuna River's navigability to move high-quality domestic coal to industrial hubs, potentially reducing the nation's reliance on expensive imported energy.

Tangail is located south-southeast of Phulbari(Dinajpur). In the context of GCM Resources and the Jamuna River, Tangail is a key transit point because it sits on the eastern side of the Jamuna Multi-purpose Bridge, which any coal transport from Phulbari to Dhaka must cross.

Theres always the possibility that GCM could become involved in the development of one or more of the other fields too.

Khalashpir would need all new feasibility studies doing again.

Quite feasible they will mine Khalashpir as well as Phulbari & all the other major coal fields eventually.

As we know though, Phulbari is the only one ready to start tomorrow

After nearly two decades I’d be very tempted take 28p a share today & say good riddance to GCM & the basket case country.

That being said. Im still gambling on a big spike here after the election. Although i did expect it to be out of single digits by now 🤷‍♂️

The save Phulbari statement did come after she was in power

The pledge not to mine Phulbari following the riots was made before she was in power.

I stopped telling my missus about my shares in GCM here years ago.

Hopefully in a few weeks i can finally give her a

“Told you so”

Those that have known me on here for years, know my main rationale for Hasina not giving the go ahead to Phulbari, was her original election pledge not to mine it following the riots.

Then later stating Phulbari will be left for future generations. These pledges & statements tied her hands.

The current electoral candidates are not going to make the same mistake & in my opinion will not mention ut prior to Feb 12 👍

We have already heard about “utilising domestic resources” & the below, “a self reliant economy.”

2+2 = Phulbari. According to my calculations 😂
