Well said. I thought the same in regard to the Federal Bill but i'm starting to change my mind. I wouldn't be at surprised if we see it passed next year. Why? We have another 4 states that look ready to offer online gambling being California, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and Illinois. If all four were up and running then the Federal Bill would've basically missed the boat. The longer they take the more chance we won't see a federal bill with too many states regulating of their own. I have a feeling they will act before it goes to vote in California.

Plus, i don’t see any news on the horizon. I suppose that's why they're not talked about much as you can see from the low volumes. Maybe an interesting stock for long term growth should they manage to keep one step ahead of their competitors. If they drop more i might have punt. GL

Hi Sisyphus, Numis would give them a good forecast considering they are key investors ;). Why did they drop from 80p to a 52 week low? I haven't done too much research on them yet. Competition will be high for these guys so im not sure they can keep up.

I'm not an investor but it baffled me too. From reports it's saying about concern about the group's exposure to the Australian dollar through the recent Sportingbet acquisition. The currency has fallen sharply this year.

I tend to buy around 1 month before, or i look at the charts going back a few months in regard to resistance levels to find a good buy price. I tend not to bother with the dividend because i dont look to invest long-term. On the ex-div date it will drop the same as the divi so i dont see why i should risk it. Some companies recover fast over a couple of weeks and others you need to wait a month or two. Depends if they're in a strong position etc.

Many people think you need to hold your shares to get the div. You can buy 1 day before ex-div and sell on ex-div date and still get the dividend. The sp will drop to the amount of the div on the ex-div date because the companies profits are being shared. Although if you invest in a strong companies the SP should recover over time because investors buy back in on the cheap. It's good to look into and can be easy money once you get it right.

When i first started i used to be the same. Main thing i have learn't is to be patient, research and if in doubt don't buy :). Now i tend to buy in companies who are on 52 week lows and look to be in a good position for rebounds e.g. bwin at 100. Also, for a quick buck i invest into income shares. Basically it’s overvalued and the comments made from Ceasers didn't help in regard to the current relationship. We are looking at some nice volumes in 888 and Bwin, some big ass investors are on board. Bwin for example were down 7% Friday on release of full year earnings, but they regained strength on a 15million buy. Maybe in regard to another state legalizing gambling soon. Illinois for example are moving forward fast. The volumes suggests to me something good is coming and not just from the license.
