To Jonvia & Hottentot...Thanks for your replies, I am in a Final salary scheme with the NHS. Regarding the drop in SP in Aviva, I actually think this may not be a bad thing for Aviva as people will now see pensions as useful and buy one from Aviva (there are others companys available)..........
Eddie Stobart is to have new owners at the wheel after Britain's best known trucking business was sold to investors in a deal worth £280 million. The business, which employs around 5,000 people and operates 2,300 vehicles, will be led by the founder's youngest son William Stobart. Stobart Group, said this sale will enable it to focus on its operations in the energy, air and rail markets. Members of the investment group behind the takeover have previous experience of the sector through their former ownership of UK logistics firm TDG. It was sold to Norbert Dentressangle in 2010. Stobart will receive £195.6 million for the Eddie Stobart operation, as well shares worth £44.1 million in the new venture.
The Market and shareholders dont like whats going on. Surely such a deal would need the permission of the shareholders?
Seems you have been right about this lot, a very dodgy deal they have bought back the valuable transport business and left the crap behind. They will make it 100% private before long. Leaving stobart with the airports and biomass rubbish................
Just jumped ship myself, made a profit though bought at 85p. Dont like the sound of selling off the transport side myself.
The company said the deal comprises 195.6 million pounds in cash and 44.1 million pounds in stock. The purchaser will also assume 41.1 million pounds in debt. Stobart will still own 49% aswell, so I dont see any need to panick!!
Barlew.......Made me laugh "good results and the shares actually go up"....This has always puzzled me, good results and nomally share price plunges as the Market says "Not as good as we were hoping" Opposite...Bad results...Share price Shoots up, Market says "Not as bad as expecting" CRAZY............
What is your game?? If this was True, the SP would be dropping like a stone. Because it ain't dropping I think it is all Bull****
JCB is a private company owned by the Bamford family, different from Stobart who are Public listed company. Bamford dont need permision of shareholders for transactions. Anyway, anyone got any idea where this SP is going this year? Would £1.80 be a target?
Is this stck at £1.40 or what? Anyone any ideas if this will move this year?
