joatmon - They're all clearly wrong (joke). They should just hire Irene instead.
Not mutually exclusive though are they - why not optimise business processes and automate?
Irene's poo pooed the Amazon example previously, many companies which burn through cash initially, BP appears to be a case of disruption to the market and I suspect will get snapped up soonish e.g. IBM has just bid for Red Hat which Irene will be familiar with being a software engineer. Think it was for $34 billion.
Undergraduate geology was a while ago (25+ years), however I do recall Charles Lyell's "uniformitarianism" - a quick refresh on wikipedia stating "Uniformity of law – the laws of nature are constant across time and space." - so (with a few assumptions), the fact that fractured basement works across the other side of the North Sea should be a fair indicator (along with the due diligence) of the modelling, existing tests etc. Pleased with the Time article all in all.
I don't see any problem, it's just a group of people backing the concept of naturally fractured basin and giving it a go. The proximity to Hurricane and their naming convention (ww2 fighter aces) just reinforces Hurricane?
Interesting mix of experience and qualifications for the Technical Director (https://sparkexploration.com/team/):
"Mark graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc (1st Class) in Geology in 1994, holds an MSc in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College, London and a PhD on the petroleum geology of the Clair Field, West of Shetlands."
Knows the area then.
Grampian Sovereign departed the Aoka Mizu. Hopefully just a weather window to wait for now... (optimism).
Iweb is it appears the same service and cheaper still, £5 a trade. Think they're owned by HBOS anyway.
Don't know if these have been posted, but just in case:

Oracle Corp no less, plus some of those numbers in the second item are quite large. Worth a look anyway.
There were some comments stating that light wasn't an issue as a lot of it will be inside the Hull, plus modern lighting is pretty awesome and the photos of the AM show it rather well lit up. Hope for good news tomorrow, just have to see...
AM appears to have altered course and is headed westwards...
DHC Not sure I'm qualified to give specific advice and I see that a number of your questions have been answered by others. What I would say is that I'm happy with my position on things - your choice I suppose but I'm waiting it out because I have confidence in Hurricane and am accepting of the risk to reward. Slightly flippantly, I'd add that anyone who names fields after British aviation greats including the Westland Whirlwind and Vickers Warwick is alright with me.
Oh, forgot. Wouldn't use the word delay as I think it is expected 2019 H1 and it is only January 10, all in order unless otherwise stated...
I think it's somewhat stochastic, mainly depending on the weather. Check out energy voice regarding recent article/interview with Dr Trice who I think stated about 21 days from a hookup. So, I guess it's knockup up a gannt chart and work out the critical path.
All fine, just the weather which funnily enough can be not the best in winter.
Aduk, Thanks, will try cross referencing the tracks of the two vessels. At the risk of this going a bit downhill, perhaps one of these could deploy: https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/royal-navy-to-keep-older-river-class-vessels-almost-doubling-opv-fleet/ Still hopefully just a weather issue... Malc
Aduk, " and quite frankly shocking in maritime terms if you were watching the AIS between 16:00 and 17:15." I was at work, what's the detail on this, i.e. what happened and what were the potential outcomes? Like many, I'm hoping just the weather as the mate up was already tested successfully in Dubai. Malc
Well that's a relief. Interesting she's doing between 7-8 knts.
Argh, now Estimate: 28-DEC-2018 15:00 Patience....
Latest update at 1253 today (26/12/2018) is to depart at: Estimate: 27-DEC-2018 22:00, then there was the comment about "roll on 9 Jan", working backwards...
