Hi Yorkshire Bloke I seem to have the same Barclays letter with three options and if you go into your portfolio it says that if you do nothing they will impose the default option which is to accept option 1 (1.49 Melrose shares and 81p cash) I am not happy with this and propose to talk to Barclays. My preferred option is do nothing and hope a better bid comes along (as 50glass says you lose nothing that way) - this is what I will do with the few shares I still hold in certificated form

The accounts are of course historical but show that at that point in time current liabilities exceeded current assets. In accounting terms did that not mean that they may have had difficulty in meeting current liabilities? In the last 12 months has the position got better or worse? They have stopped taking credit card payments from solicitors in payment of their DX box subscriptions. This would improve cash flow slightly, but surely only a pinprick? ? I’m just asking the questions – I have not got the answers.

My first ever post. As a solicitor I have rented a DX box for many years. DX boxes for solicitors being there original product. I find more and more solicitors with whom I deal are not renewing their subscriptions each year and in my local DX exchange there are lots of boxes labelled "Box closed". I have just had my renewal invoice for this year and phoned DX accounts to pay by Credit Card as I have done for the last 20 years or so, but was told "as from about 2 months ago we no longer take credit cards, please pay by cheque or BACS" Seems like they are trying to save pennies from where ever they can. What has prompted this I wonder?
