Isn’t it a universal truth that the market always overreacts in the short term?

The overwhelming majority of those involved in 9/11 were Saudi citizens: extremist Sunni followers of al Qaeda. Al Qaeda regard Shia moslems (the state religion of Iran) as apostates and, as such deserving to be killed.

I get ‘my enemy’s enemy is my friend’. But this is carrying it to an absurd degree. The narrow and intolerant version of Sunni islam (Wahhabism) practised in Saudi Arabia is quite sufficient as a breeding ground for extremist acts.

And ‘tries’, not ‘ try’s’ , ‘guarantee’ not ‘gurantee’.

I myself am very against the practice of ganging up on a poster with the aim of trying to drive him/her off a bb. It’s despicable.

Foolish or malicious posts should be criticised as such. But ganging up strikes me as pack behaviour.

Isn’t it the usual short term reaction: ‘buy on rumour, sell on news’? Just let the dust settle a bit. The market always over-reacts, up or down.

Poo to skyrocket? Not today, to judge from this morning’s start. Some serious manipulation going on at top levels. I don’t believe in market forces any more, sorry to say.

Just like we believed their ridiculous prediction a year or two back that poo would fall to $20! Shameless, but it can move markets short term.

It’s unlucky to gloat. Any rise risks feeling like a disappointment. But, as I commented last week (apologies for quoting self) ‘one day the dam will break’.

Well said. No doubt it will provoke further abuse, but no matter.

I too have been kicking myself for not selling out at 140p+. But I take responsibility for my actions (or inactions) and I don’t admire those who talk through their pockets.

In relation to PMO’s sp, my feeling is that ONE DAY, BEFORE TOO LONG, THE DAM WILL BREAK.

I completely agree. But there is a middle ground between a highly diversified portfolio and putting all your eggs in one single basket, which is asking for trouble.

There’s also a cliche about catching a falling knife. Well, I suppose one shouldn’t cling on to a falling knife for years as it cuts you.
