The thing is Roast, this company has made mistakes fact, but every single company does, and if you look at the back story of serial heavy-weight entrepreneurs, there are decisions they all want to forget. Always good practice when you enter into a multi million pound project with a new party that there's a back door for both in the unlikely event of a falling out. Means a new partner can be sort. Great play from Paul and Phil.

The proposed capital spend on the infrastructure suggest there's much confidence in what can be extracted. Project was always too big for Block. Be interesting to learn if there are any plans beyond Georgia, but one step at a time.

OFC natural gas does not require liquefaction, making it even more cost-effective.

Now, who on Earth could possibly benefit from that? The wallet boggles......

With everything going on in the Middle East and Eastern Europe right now, I’ve been thinking a lot about how the world is scrambling to secure reliable energy sources. What stands out to me is that countries are actively trying to diversify away from unstable regions and chokepoints. That’s exactly why a stable location like Georgia suddenly becomes a lot more interesting.

For me, that’s where Block Energy could really benefit—its assets sit outside the major geopolitical flashpoints, and that gives it a strategic edge in the current climate. The longer Qatar keep everything locked down and sit there recounting their pot the better for us.

Wouldn't it make perfect sense for the farm-out partner to capitalise the CC project? BP / Shell all the players have fingers in multiple pies, and it ticks sustainability boxes that's very much needed to keep shareholders in the game.

It can take months for a facility of that size to reboot, not weeks, and that's prior to any damage. Qatar is the richest country in the world, they can afford to pull the plug and sit it out. Once Asia starts to warm up there's going to be a massive bun fight for LNG.

20% of the worlds LNG comes out of Ras Laffan. It has already been emptied, but there's no way this comes online anytime soon. Elevated pricing will be here for a long time, I don't even think it will remain at these levels.
