@longtimeinvestor very well done son...
Red_inky so you are sitting on a £600k plus profit well done you must be one of those HNWI's , remember to pay your cap gains taxes when you do eventually sell, and tell us prior as that massive holding will no doubt pull the market down...
@ Makros - Your post also raised a chuckle (Tanya from C'Beat) is a really good friend of mine, she's still got a huge following over in Europe and cruise ship gigs. , not sure what is meant by this you are obviously moving on a different plane to me, your knowledge of chart based trading seems to be helpful to this board, I have a full time job so not able to do as much research so thanks for your input...p.s be careful CFD trading , always hold enough to cover(your positions) in full in case you get a large call, and you need to convert...
With it's strong cash position , decent trading and low multiple compared to peers surely it must be on someone's radar at these levels?? what do others think?
HI Mr Wolf, I notice that you seem to have a vast knowledge of stock trading characteristics and this stock in particular, do you have much skin in this particular game or commenting from the sidelines? reason I ask, it makes a huge difference as if you are comparatively heavily invested, emotions will no doubt come into play-its human nature unfortunately..
Https://www.dailystar.co.uk/tv/holly-willoughby-to-address-phillip-30150357 just as I thought all along-the big announcement tomorrow -Phill has knocked her up!! now that would be worthy of a headline...
for a bid to come, sterling on the floor v USD, stock price near 10 year lows, remember Studios earns big in USD!!, if Malone or any other US based potential bidder want a piece, blood in the water is now...turbulent times but medium/long term UK PLC is not about to implode in my opinion
it was obviously gonna be up a little today due to big dow up from Friday closing, therefore ftse futures were up on the back of this ... basic numbers are good-but there is simply no confidence that there's not another skeleton in the cupboard!!, forget the charts-the only way this thing is going up is by the management looking after shareholders interests !! clean out the closet once and for all, stop throwing cash at staff-(they give at least 40% more in pension offerings than other banks-fact), stop offering crazy redundancy packages to staff who are planning to leave in any case(and management know this) ...fact, stop silly overpriced VANITY acquisitions, deliver something good to shareholders such as special dividend-to compensate the lack of dividend in previous years plus an upgraded dividend going forwards
although its a dirt cheap stock at current levels , their decision making has to be questioned-this crazy purchase of Kensington at this point in the cycle, at such a silly price only makes me think it's either run by complete idiots or they bailed out a mate who had a large piece of Kensington or both!! they also seem to be extremely accident prone-this is what is holding back the stock which should be over 200p even taking into account current market sentiment...
Agree with Contrarian123 , the wasted energy involved with all this silly bickering should be bottled and used against the CEO/board, this company is in dire need of new management and we will all(long) benefit, I read even Tom thinks the shares are too cheap at these levels..what about larger shareholders getting together via this board/advfn etc to form a block...it may have some sort of effect?
falling due to this crazy windfall tax talk swirling around, surprised they domiciled in London with this countrys' attitude, are we going to have a refund when wholesale prices fall then? no!!
Hi Nige, no need to apologise Im sure you and Tom are acting in good faith, I,m holding a few here have been since the brexit vote when they tumbled, traded a few up and down along the way, heard about this bid from various sources over the years, knowing my luck will sell out just before the bid comes!! it's a frustrating stock similar to Barc, which I am also holding-both deep value stocks but seem to be very heavily anchored to pivots...
