Tedoby,
I missed your excellent analysis of COPL with and without CUDA on Wednesday, because of all the Flac that was published.
Thanks for all the detailed input.
So you are saying without CUDA, COPL SP should be 348p by Q3 next year and with CUDA 500p, and we have Nigeria to look forward to.
I hope you are right, it takes some balls to predict those figures but you back them up with sound logic.
again many thanks for your Input
Tiburn & Illusions
Now that the initial hysteria concerning the placing has largely faded, perhaps it would be a good time to revisit the COPL fundamentals based on a CUDA acquisition.
My take is that the purchase is going to cost around $6 million more than anticipated, necessitating the placing.
Again I don't want to put you on a spot , but your opinions would be appreciated.
my only concerns are , the price of oil is falling, though I recently saw an article saying that it could reach £150 next year, and that there must be good reasons why CUDA has gone into receivership, and Atomic was obtained at a bargain, was it because they couldn't make a go of it , if so why do we think COPL can?
again your thoughts would be appreciated.
I think it is time we all step back and think why and what we are writing on this board.
I am sure you are all frustrated like I am that the share price is not moving as we would like.
The people that read this board are
a) people like ourselves that have already invested and are looking for useful information to confirm that we have
made the right decision, a few posters do give useful insights to the company and updates on probable strategies
and issues, so thanks where applicable, I appreciate it
b) Potential new investors trying to find out about the company to make an investment. ( when I invest in a new
company , I try to read the boards first.)
So I would ask yourselves before you write, is what you are writing going to help the company, if the answer is NO, then don't write it.
Is it going to help or encourage a potential investor, again if the answer is NO , then again don't write it.
Is what you write going to help your investment, again if the answer is NO then why write it.
Yes we all like to relieve our frustrations, but one golden rule is , praise in public , but criticize Privately, if you have issues with ART and his team, then write to him, not air it on this board which can only put off investors. I am sure ART and his team don't read this board, so its pointless anyway.
Lets all be positive, play our part in encouraging new investors and we will all reap the benefits when it does finally blow.
I think the biggest reason for the depressed share price is COPL's lack of positive publicity.
I'll give you one example , does anyone use Yahoo finance on there Apple iPads for share information.? the associated articles for COPL are via ACCESSWIRE and 15 - 20 weeks old and relate to when COPL shares were being suspended. What image does that give new potential investors?
What do Yellow Jersey actually contribute!. I emailed them yesterday to highlight the position, I suggest you all do the same and include a copy to ART. It will be interesting to see if they acknowledge the email, and take some action to update with some positive articles.
Tiburn*and, Illusion
Three things concern me about COPL and this board.
1 your calcs are based on total content of the oil fields , Correct? shouldn't we be taking account of Green issues? whats the total volume of oil that will be required by 2030 when the majority of power will not be using oil? usage is currently around 100 million barrels/day, as the usage drops the price will drop. fields at 5-10000 barrels/day output will be closing down as uneconomic, its imperative COPL get the oil out fast. at least within five years
2 CUDA may well be a distraction,, if the purchase means we suspend the COPL share whilst we Integrate the company, as happened wit Atomic , it will be a disaster. is there any positive interest that COPL want ,or indeed need it.
3 the constant blaming and outing of Shorters and MM's for the depression of COPL SP, there as always been shorters and always will be, if they have a strategy that makes money , then they have the right strategy, we are all in it to make money, a shorting strategy suits them, but its too risky for me, and probably most of us, so learn to live with it.
Tiburn,
Thanks again for you prompt and informative reply.
So as I see it nothing fundamental has changed with COPL, the company is in a better position than it was in August and will continue to Improve, the SP will correct itself in the future.
So everyone lets stop whinging about Share price, one thing we all have in common is to make money, including Art. Some do it by day trading, others by shorting and others like me are in it for the longer haul, we all have our strategies some will win and some will lose, people only win generally at someone else's expense unless we can grow the cake, so lets hope Art is doing just that.
Tiburn
As I have said in the past I rate your input on this share and general knowledge of the oil business higher than anyone on this board.
Can you tell us if anything has significantly changed in the company fundamentals now from when the relaunch was taking place 3 months ago. I understand there are a few technical delays, which i can understand as an engineer, but are the figures still broadly the same. , or have the time scales just moved out. Ignore Nigeria, which wasn't on the agenda in August.
I don't want to put you in the firing line but I am sure a re-look at the company fundamentals would be worth while.
Do you think COP26 and green issues are reducing investment in Oil and Gas, for instance.
I look forward to your continued input and again thanks for your valued posts past and future.
I was up early this morning and have read it thoroughly.
the good news is
Arthur and his team have produced a very detailed financial report, in a professional manner on time as he promised.
The bad news,
Well there isn't any really bad news, other than its not as positive as we had all hoped, I cant see real "wow factor" that's going to dramatically effect the SP in the short term.
There are a lot of encouraging indicator for the future
Increased output and profits
Possible CUDA acquisition
Nigeria prospects
Such that all of us should hang on to the investment we have, and keep buying, on the small incremental SP improvements.
Tiburn,
Thanks again for your informative reviews, please keep them coming.
Ploppylad,
I agree with most of what you say,.
nothing against Art, he has done some great work, but i think the company is growing beyond a one man band and will need a proper management structure in the future to take on board all the exciting opportunities that are out there.
Art should remain as chairman, and have a key roll, to create the billion Dollar company of his dreams, but there are weaknesses in shareholder relationships, promotional info and the website, which i feel can easily be addressed.
OK everyone, I am running a book again on your best estimates for the share price for 15th Nov. and 24th Dec.
post your prediction .
I still have your relaunch prices. where most of us were a was a little over ambitious
I'll go with 38p and 120p
cheers Mick P
