@Aaron.
Just for reassurance VW saved an absolute fortune because they went for the mirror (I heard 000’s of $m USD, from an industry insider, due to ease of installation, no need for dashboard redesign etc).
Also, the reason OEMs have held off, is many don’t believe it’s possible to combine DMS & OMS in a single location, let alone the mirror. So they have held off until they see it in production. The VW roll out won’t only be the catalyst for increased kpi’s/cash flow, but also for other OEMs to finally make a decision on where to position their DMS/OMS solution.
Will they all go for the mirror? Probably not, but OEMs will start closing their RFQs very soon (the first within the next couple of months hopefully).
By the end of this calendar year, they will have to.
Seize: Doesn't look anything like SEE DMS ....Looks like Cipia DMS as per the below link:

At the moment we are not 'in' Qualcomms Ride platform.
The reason being its on a different operating system than the SA8155P Infotainment platform so we cant just transfer over.
We can integrate on it, but it we can only do it on request of an OEM and it takes about 6 months for us to integrate for each OEM.
One thing that is clear, is that OEMs are far more interested in the Ride platform as its ADAS specific. They weren't that bothered by the Infotainment platform by all accounts.
I have enjoyed reading Redeye's reports over the years.
Many of us will remember when they said that our fleet business was a distraction to our core buisiness. Ignoring the benefits of the naturalistic data derived from Fleet. Then 4-5 years later SEYE launch their own fleet product.
Redeye then claimed SEYE to be superior with their hardware agnostic approach, even though Paul has explained many times we are also software agnostic.
Now they claim the mirror is too expensive, ignoring the fact that SEYE DMS & OMS systems require 2 separate cameras and optical paths so effectively doubling the financial cost and dashboard/consol real estate and complexity of SEYE's offering.
I wont be surprised when they attempt to bring out their own mirror option
Hi Glandore,
Like you I also wondered what the $57.8m Revenue figure actually included, especially wrt Magna License payment.
I was just reviewing the questions on Investor Meet for the H1 FY 2023 from the 7th Mar 2023.
The answer to question 20 provided some comfort:
"Revenue from Magna in H1 was US$5.4m. H2 revenue is expected to be ~US$2.4m".
If the above held true, operating revenue will be around $50m.
Going through the other questions at that time, they reiterated a Gen 3 would be launched H1 FY 25/ within CY 2023. Hope this still holds.
I understand the frustration with the share price, but I am not convinced of the Communication Mismanagement comment for 2 reasons:
1) We have made a lot of effort to communicate with US-based institutional investors over the past 6 months. Admittedly, this has not helped the share price yet, but we have been spreading our message.
2) The real frustration is the lack of contract news. As we know, SEE has no authority over when news can be released. Once contracts start to materialize, future revenue projections can be confirmed, and the share price will likely respond positively. Hopefully, at that point, those institutional investors we have been presenting to will become convinced of our story and will start to invest as well.
Just imho as usual
Hopefully, over time, the masses will start to see the over hype of Tesla FSD and necessity of DMS:

Not seen much about Snapdragon Ride platform (or perhaps its passed me by), but the below link has some details:
https://www.qualcomm.com/news/onq/2023/01/snapdragon-ride-platform-continues-to-push-adas-ad-forward#:~:text=Snapdragon%20Ride%20is%20an%20end,products%20with%20integrated%20vision%20perception.
Within there is an embedded linked to a presentation which mentions Driver Monitoring a few times:
https://www.qualcomm.com/content/dam/qcomm-martech/dm-assets/documents/CES2023-SnapdragonRide-LeMans-readiness-blog-slides.pdf
As well as under the heading "Snapdragon Ride Vision System" it states - "Hosts turnkey Qualcomm drive policy or OEM Drive Policy, 3rd party driver monitoring, parking:..."
Also (you may need your browser to auto-translate) but the below Japanese link gave a good read on Qualcomm Ride platform from CES;
https://car.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/1470496.html
In particular:
"In addition, "Snapdragon Ride Flex SoC" was also exhibited as a low-priced version of the Snapdragon ride platform. This is a one-chip SoC solution that realizes functions such as digital meters, DMS, ADAS, and IVI. If the Snapdragon ride platform is for high-end vehicles, the Snapdragon Ride Flex SoC will be the solution for mini and mainstream vehicles.
No doubt SEE will be involved in some form or another.
I wonder how/if this somehow relates to delays in Auto contracts and Paul mentioning we are dealing with big complicated RFQs.
I like the bit where they say "A new and more capable system .." from the below paragraph. Thats gotta sting for SEYE.
BMW
BMW’s Extended Traffic Jam Assistant has been available for a few years. It provides hands-free driving at speeds up to 40 mph on certain highways. A new and more capable system is also coming out this year. Called Highway Assistant, it can automatically maintain your speed up to 80 mph and provide automatic lane changes. Information on the system is currently limited, but it will be available on the i7 electric sedan and other high-end BMW models.
