Interesting
TRAFβs strategy into the hydroponic farming, is still very unique in the UK, this is a huge growth market, else why would OCADO buy 58% stake of Jones foods.Look at where OCADO are now.
Vertical farming Potential Yields:
Where an acre of farmland crops would yield: Β£20k a year.
Same 1acre of vertical hydroponic farming would yield: Β£250k a year.
I.e 10x. Yield by going hydroponics method
(Better rental yield than retirement homes...)
It is a fast-growing sector and the future. Worldwide, it was worth Β£1.72bn in back in 2018, with experts predicting that will rise to Β£9.84bn by 2026. Japan and the US are leading the way, but other countries are catching on. This is a new growth sector.
With new Appointment of Professor today and current CFO the new direction of their strategy is back on, to re-establish (as CEO states re-invigorate) new division. Both guys are already very successful in hydroponic farming, been there, done it. If anyone bought in today - Hold. Huge potential from Β£1m.
Now with food prices sky high, UK out of EU, and general food issues. This could be 20x in a few years. Seeing is believing off-course.
