For Volume is correct less than 30k traded - shares - never ever seen the amount traded so low any day which is strange - would have thought MM would have moved Ask and Bid - spread just to execute trades. Sold early 20's myself so don't hold but my employer for nearly two decades. Amazed at the volume - firming price and the lack of news as well as the very recent buy price for 11.5 for an instant I noticed but then back up. What to make of it - tbh Is beyond me.
Automatic trades been hit again - when will they learn. Only use them on FTSE 100 shares. No use and a wealth destroyer on these where they can just take the share where they want - nearly 19 pence paid yesterday by someone and massive volume over last three days - RNS or News due - or continue to fall back - think there will some large reported late trades today. Silence is deafening JPR? Amber?
Not buying except CA - I suspect - but we await RNS's
From Advfn Someone nearly paid 19 pence now yesterday - classic MM share price suppression - wide spread mopping up shares and a fair tree shake certainly. Some chunky buys coupled with the massive volume yesterday - my comment on this is forget stop losses on these I have no doubt the MM can see them - mopping up on automatic trades. Major investor Cystal Amber - was at that meeting Tuesday. According to the Guardian - they have a great track record extracting value. It comes down to an activist investor to basically say enough is enough. This is really good news. Obviously are tired of AH's inability to deliver shareholder value - his record is woeful. The meeting CA will know what they want and will have a game plan already in place. Will they have a BID lined up? Bearing in mind as far as we are aware they has been no Instituitional selling - crossing thresholds at least and the last selling were leading up to interim results. So perhaps none of the Institutional investors have bought under this level - SP was 14 pence day before Interims. Said before too much combined Institutional money at massive paper losses not to back this and with CA leading the charge - expect holding RNS's and perhaps something resembling a low ball BID to get us started. AH and the board will be under massive pressure to deliver real shareholder value not just paying lip service to it while taking the massive salaries and bonuses for abject failure over the course of their tenure. Looking better all holders - so many avenues and variables to consider - Buying bonds heavily discounted by divestment - activist CA and Institutional backing and MM certainly playing this if there was ever a case prior to transformational news. Any balanced views - GL all. Check out CAs track record Thorntons et al, perhaps they may look to buy 10 percent and force a EGM?
Agreed it just needs some good news and it will move up significantly. Two target prices reiterated at Interims at 180 and 200 pence - think the lowest target is 18. Median is huge multiples - check the FT. understandably. You have to wonder are they assessing the same organisation lol? Think this week there will have to be some news in the pipeline. MM are playing with this and it taking it down further on the absence of news since the Interims. The lack of news of Director buying - is because they naturally hold sensitive information - assets sales in the latter stages from the Interims does prevent them buying. GL
Agree do read through the posts on Advfn and at least take a balanced view. There is plenty of options available to JPR and they are actively and in the latter stages of further divestments which they are looking back to buying the bonds at a massive discount. The Institutions are holding and there is much more to this than meets the eye. If AH is to be believed by Christmas - interview with the FT, the share price could be much higher even multiples, and to be fair it needs to be - this market cap. is dire. Only a balanced view has credibility.
Could be looking at a strong bounce northwards certainly - this is woefully undervalued. Taken a recent position myself - tomorrow will tell. GL all
a slow burner pity they can realise anywhere near asset value for their shareholders. Those under 3 per cent are content to reduce and likely exit. So likely to be a long time to get any where near asset value - pity they can't sell it lock stock - it continues to be a long road but most parts of the business as expected and in place going forward.
Is now different - no longer is Frank at the helm. There are massive transfers of shares - change of ownership expect RNS of FS reducing and perhaps the over 7 percent increasing. Obtala you could I agree pretty much rely on not to dilute. Is FS going to take a back seat and retain his massive holding? Did he want to take a back seat? One thing this is interesting always is with volume although literally just before the rise 2-3k of trade think one day even less than that. But volume now certainly
That what I think is coming also reading the RNS - equity raising. They are a couple of hints in there I reckon low cash balance and looking for other opportunities. In some sense laid out all the business plan kinda like a proposal. FS was against capital raising think now back seat that is what they have in mind. Could be wrong but gut feeling tells me different.
Over 7 percent does bode well. With the board changes that FS is taking a back seat constitute such a epic very recent rise? Is FS so poorly rated by the market because we all knew of the recent accumulation previously....wondering what was behind it. Caught many by suprise I suspect judging by the posters on here - perhaps with leaky Obt some news due? Doubt FS will hold on to his shareholding IMO taking a back seat unless something transformational is on the cards realising at least medium term value at least the massive percentage of Obt he holds. If no news due apart from his shareholding rising in value IF this is just the news that he has taken a back seat - certainly the market cannot rate him at the helm. The key is any RNS's to indicate that FS is selling down and if there is more accumulating in the market or transfer of shares from FS that becomes apparent to the holder of the greater than 7 percent holding IMO. If accumulation continues in the market price will move north perhaps even if there is transfer 'between Institutions' with FS being a major owner. Interesting GL all.
But over all those years failed to deliver share holder value just look at the five year graph. Track record is poor on that although he has got significant skin in the game over all those years so that certainly deserves some credit for holding but will he continue to hold? Has he still around 26 percent of the company? Time will tell
To agree however it may be in the process of a re-rate?? Shows what the market thinks of FS imo. What will be interesting is whether FS retains his large shareholding in the company.
Recently at the Lows, someone bought sub £300 bought at 5.94 last trade today. Has to be news coming. Much heavier volume will dictate. Been watching this for a few months and there has been - admittedly a fair few rollovers but some massive volume much higher up? Positive news on the Forestry divestment perhaps? That would be a real game changer. Put into perspective this was near all time lows a few days ago.
your posts and the links Superg, not invested but was thinking about a punt around the all time lows. Could be real issues for Obtala going forward.
Perhaps you could be right a forced seller - but a massive decline this week - bounced abit
Fall this week - it's like the MM are reducing this down for some sort of placing or RI? That's how it seems to me. It is the strangest share sometimes massive volume and the price hardly moves trades matching but where are the buyers taking advantage of this weak SP all in perhaps?
of falls to the lowest level, has to be some news due making this massive reduction in share price this week for those in the know? Not holding but was tempted around 6.5 - but this has fallen too fast and quick and put me off tbh. Suggest holders contact the company to ease their mind?
It is obvious there is a large seller in the background and has been for some time. Large trades - Institutional IMO. The advertised spread was large but the actual spread was tight and copious amounts can be traded - certainly no shortage of shares on the MM books. Also decent profit for those who bought at the recent lows. Forestry is the news the market wants - may be a while before they can put that news together and in the interim whomever is selling is content to do so at this and lower levels. A poster on Advfn stated news definitely this week earlier in the week he was spot on - would be an advantage for any PI mushroom to know when news was coming, does help with trading lol
For all holders here - true disgrace. Audited accounts should be good enough, don't hold but did years ago - wonder how long this goes back? Auditors must be accountable if there is any justice and will have insurance. Possibly only forlorn hope of salvaging anything for shareholders.
