Moving the price up from 12 ish - fallen back today though from highs. There was large volume institutional around the 12.5 mark a few weeks back but no RNS. No news to move the stock from this level - debt news market expecting suspect
In very short space of time - PI trades - presumably moving it up towards expected news. Likely refinancing - not the volume imo to move it up so quickly. Remember a very recent 100k sell at 11.8.
You can ask why the largest shareholder at the time at near lows sold to CA crystallising a massive loss. Perhaps why Custos and CA seem to not agree as regarding strategy going forward - likely reason why IMO price held at this level - content to trade Institutional trades creating large volume at the price agreed. Sold out at a price buy in at a price crystallised. That's why at this level IMO. Orbis had enough - CA wanted to try and Custos joined the fray - seems JPR are happier with Custos - didn't even want to meet CA. Think Custos buying Institutional perhaps from CA but only a guess - RNS will decide - not out perhaps but selling down.
At the recent trades large buys and large sells at around the 12.5 pence mark. Did Custos buy and up his stake in the market or did he agree to buy at that level from another Institutional holder? I would expect some decent blue and we all know this can move quickly with today's news - but pretty static and with the spread difficult to make much money - could have bought around 12 and sold at 12.6 ish of recent few days. Both mention consolidation in the industry. Be interesting who will take the lead or joint effort if they can agree common ground. As for buying in Andy perhaps but would have expected with the newsflow this to be higher. Doubt it is many PIs selling as many are waiting and seems to be plenty of shares around to trade as this level on the MM books. Which suggests Institutional exchange of share holding IMO. Traded this many times and to get a decent amount at times have to go to neg trade that goes for selling as well. Near 100k in three trades at 12.5 - of recent days and the price didn't move. Be interesting but would expect this to be trading higher, why sell at this level - cumulatively large amounts where sometimes there could be a few grand traded and holding at a higher level than this. Figures today? Pleased I didnt buy back. Market - up early now down as much - AH should go IMO
Not holding personally - was looking to buy in again but really fell away last few days so the market certainly is not impressed - did put me off tbh. St Ives recent update bounced the stock back up hard perhaps it could here? If it does I wish the beleaguered holders all the best. Almost the market moving it down because it expects some fundraising of some sorts? Surely not at this market cap - where will be the appetite for such? - cannot see it but genuinely thought past couple of days would have witnessed buying and a move up in share price - as is usual - even if it disappoints which it has a habit of doing that there is usually in expectation and hope of a turning point. No posts of recent from the long term holders on Advfn unless they are on later tonight. Silence is deafening on this one. Hopefully CA have been working with the bondholders - AH seems to have the backing on all but CA - who seem to be making salient sense the few noises uttered in the public domain. Wonder what CA said to Orbis to get them to sell their full holding at a massive loss? If only we had the inside track eh? GL all - it is a tough call but if this doesn't move up with the update - I would be surprised tbh. AH must be Teflon Man - know doubt he will put his usual positive spin on proceedings.
Truly amazed CA seem to be battling the rest - I am sure that there will be better times to sell - patience - red flag would be if on RNS's CA are sellIing down as they cannot make as JPR's largest shareholder any real progress for shareholder value. Very much doubt that would happen as their reputation would be hit hard. So while ever they are battling it has to be a hold. That piece on news that AH hasn't even met CA when they took the largest stake at that time is a disgrace must be teflon man. Broker targets are at massive multiples at some point perhaps they will be right - but I would suggest if in decent profit going forward to take it or at least top slice wasn't that long ago it was in the thirties. Those buying then and holding would be at a massive loss on paper. GL all
If they are allowed to talk to the bond holders and agree a deal on debt restructuring - it will likely be taken favourably by the market. Depending on the deal with the Bondholders taking a haircut. JPR have enlisted their own advisors on this and my take on this is it seems to be CA versus all other parties. Amazed on the other stakeholders backing AH and the other shareholders not joining forces with CA. What did CA say to Orbis to get them to crystallise such an epic loss I wonder? Have sold myself much higher - never like holding this stock for too long but does represent good trading opportunities. In and out of this over many years for a decent profit. Former employer and know JPR board wouldn't take kindly to CA assisting in the debt restructuring - they see them as a thorn in their side. Was surprised at the cash position in the recent update. Seems much cash has been spent from a year ago. If I was still in I would likely hold for what it is worth.
Loser a massive winner for abject failure is AH and cohorts - disaster for all the rest - employees and shareholders alike - pay off will be circa a million.
I am sure will be out with a massive payout in the very short term. Likely in the next couple of weeks. Unless the other Institutions back him - stated he has support from presumably all but CA in the FT article a few weeks ago as. Orbis content to sell out so likely they were not supportive with CA taking their whole stake to hold now over 20 per cent. Interesting times. If it wasn't for CA suspect we would be around 6 pence so three times SP thanks to their intervention.
Orbis average - amount invested since the start all those years ago to their estimated funds after selling say around 15 pence. It can hardly be an offer they cannot refuse - if they offloaded around 15 pence that's roughly double the all time low. That is one dismal in the extreme investment. Be a worthwhile exercise to calculate how much they have lost - when we know price of offloading to how much they have put in over the years and what their average is. It will be colossal - if it is CA why deal with them and give the opportunity to acquire all their stock at around 15 pence wasn't that long ago it was three times that price. If they thought there was upside they would hold and let CA do their thing. However having decided to buy into JPR was a dismal move at the outset so suppose what to they know lol
Nearly 20 years. certainly what will be interesting is who bought them as a huge block out of the market which I suspect is why the rise again today, If Orbis thought there was upside here and there has been last couple of days - then why sell? Perhaps a decision and that's it as Institutions sometimes do - remember when Standard Life sold out at around 30 pence in TNI a few years ago only for it to rise in mulples over the next couple of years. Orbis certainly have got it wrong investing in the first place - next holdings RNS will be interesting GL holders
Stated that he had the backing of the major Institutional Shareholders - interview with FT. Regarding divestment - Bonds et al. Well the largest one has sold out at an epic loss - Orbis took their stake to over 10 per cent in 2008. Imagine their outlay versus what they received at say 20 percent lower than this level. That has to be a red flag - however it depends who has bought them - CA? They wouldn't sell and watch massive upside if that is the case going forward - makes me wonder if JPR has approached the I.I. Tentatively for funding and they have simply had enough and sold out. They must only see downside hence their exit albeit they got it epically wrong investing in the first place in JPR worth a fraction of what they have invested.
Is pitiful on the awaited news. Guessed news was coming as reasonable volume yesterday perhaps MM taking it down to hit trades. Overall decent news I think although market perhaps hoped for more. What other titles are next I wonder?
Shares traded on ISDX - none on here. About 900 pound - second day of virtually nothing traded
Shares on ISDX about 80 pound in total - wow lol
Laughable unless any on ISDX no volume - bizarre
Sold a pitiful amount crossed 13 per cent threshold and RNS. Would not be surprised if they are at least reducing at around this level - explain the SP reluctance perhaps
Largest shareholder RNS crosses 13 percent threshold which they have to report circa 5k worth - question is why are they reducing and selling out? CA no update on shareholdings and I understand they bought recently at circa 15 pence so if they wanted more they could buy in the market at less than that. Trading update 10th November - glad I sold circa 20 pence - in for a few weeks in the share again and decent profit. IF they are reducing and perhaps selling down and out this is a RED flag IMO - if I was holding I would sell. Although if there was an RNS that CA were accumulating to get 10 percent and call an EGM and force value that would get my interest. Apart from the largest shareholder at a whopping massive loss selling some and it is real chump change and in the public domain. Question is why - it shows negative intent rather than holding firm - they have to report threshold crossed however is this just the start and who in the market is buying and accumulating - disregard the PI trades - volume is always an indicator and that is lacking. That would concern me if I was a holder - now I do not comment on a share either way if I do not hold but this was my employer for circa 20 years - it is not fair to - and whatever happens - hold, sell or buy is up to the holder but I personally would be concerned unless something comes out of left field. Which it could as to be fair and balanced buying the bonds at a massive discount - selling the non-core assets and CA involvement perhaps in proceedings - it does answer why mostly buys and a reducing in share valuation
Less than 18000 shares - wow
