Good to see your posts. Hope all is well. Lemon, just to remind, u made me a cupla quid out of Wolfie, whatever happened there?. RRR is a tough one. Bell could just keep going and be lucky, it is his sense of worth, maybe..... Scatter gun approach. Onderweiss summat else. Taking a point another poster suggested/stated is it time to beat it down. Mr M when/if RRR goes down what r u going to do? I no longer have a position here so it is immaterial what I say. MP out.
Hope all is well and you are fighting the good fight.
I do a bit of trading in the FTSE 100, NYSE and NASDAQ. That way I can use the currency exchange to my advantage. I keep an eye on this one. If you day trade and are ruthless with closing your position you probably may benefit here. I am not ruthless and since I have been bitten so dramatically by RRR in the past that I am dramatically exponentially shy. Made some money on Tesla and NYSE:SPCE but out of both and just sticking to boring stocks for moment.
In AIM terms I am not investing but view this market as an intelectual exercise. I learn a lot. So I am always surprised at Mr Bell who surely deserves some kind of anti-Darwin award. He is someone who adapts, evolves and refuses to die, so I wish all holders well as usual. There are many faces to trading.
As an intellectual exercise I keep an eye on SLE. Without going into great detail, it is paying a divi of 6p on an sp of approx 27p (cob today) ex-divi date is the 7th so qualification date to purchase is tomorrow. I think it will drop much more than 6p on the 7th. I love AIM in a freaky and twisted fashion.
Keep posting as this can be an enlightening board even for the old lags.
Cheers.
Hi, I guess that time has come to share. I lost at least 60k on this share. I , initially, made money so I was hopeful. I am now out, only just recently. In terms of downside... I had millions of shares here but when the company decided to consolidate shares to up the value for AIM purposes when it went to an unsustainable s.p. It took out my ability to to make money outside shorting. I am still moral enough not to participate in that market, I simply buy and sell and stick to the top 250 and NYSE. GLA MP out.
Mr M, remember self definition can get complicated. If you identify yourself with this share too much then what happens if it goes down. It gets to a point, imho, where you have to move on. The share goes down, brilliant, what is your next focus. I lost a lot of money here but as the wife says, and I paraphrase, without the use of the vernacular, "stop whining". Mr Bell does not sleep at night. Nor should he. But you need to review unless of course you are not one individual and are in fact a collective term of "sad individuals" . If you are a lone wolf then there is no answer. Sad to say.
I own a few here primarily for 31/5. However, looking around it must be said that I see a lot of building and I see a lot of institutions looking seriously. Genie etc are suggesting good stuff and a bunch of others. May continue to hold after the wonderful month of May. DYOR.
I have been in this share for a while now. Not posted. Good divi etc. In terms of moving forward I believe that Netflix et all isn't the issue. I am a Netflix user primarily for my kids. I don't believe my wife has ever used her logon. Apart from Narcos and one or two others Netflix is not of great use to me. I think ITV is missing a trick with the extent if its back catalogue. My goodness I remember pogoing to the Skids and "Albert Tatlock". What fond memories. A certain section of the population would pay a simple flat fee to go into nostalgia mode. ITV has the ability to be current, offer history and get ad revenue via fta TV. I suggest that many of us just want to blob out and let the stations choose what to watch. Just a thought.
Hi All, still keeping an eye on things. Hopefully JMS prevents short (I.e. now), medium (6 -12 months) placings. But I know from running both successful and not successful companies that money gets burned quickly especially if it is in the bank or you can leverage it I.e. escrow shares. I might even day trade here. This must be one of the best day trade shares ever. MP out.
It is like anything else, it is merely temporal. For certain shares there is a lot to be said about closing positions on a daily or weekly basis. But sometimes human nature/greed takes over .... nuff sed. I retired again, but the kebabs and other things are still in my blood. and currenly back, albeit a little, in the IT trade. Things are technically and culturally going to shift into another gear so I wouldn't worry about the end of the world just how you and your progeny shift into this altered paradigm. I am afraid I am the eternal optimist and believe that most humans are good and, in reality, things can only get better. Or so the song says. Now that my reasonable holding here has been "consolidated" and changing tac slightly, Mr Bell and Co get yer ass in gear and get me my profit. Moral of the tale in situ is tres simple, you can't keep a good person down. GLA and for ole time sake - MP out,
Timing was obviously off for me. I guess I made and lost on AIM but was killed here even though I did my homework, about 96% down on an embarrassingly substantial sum. So when it gets to approx 1 GBP I will sell-up in profit. But I wish all the best to all. About time Jupiter did something, I remember awaiting all kinds of re-rates 4/5 years ago. Thank goodness for all the Bull.S.... surrounding Oxus, I kept dipping in and out at a profit and was long gone when it went. GLA.
Keeping out of that one in case I get dragged in again. One thing that I believe I can say, is that certain companies can play the AIM game and RRR is one if the finest. So I take a rather different view these days. Instead of looking for the miracle to appear I look for rrr to remain and subsequently the miracle will happen. I just hope that my ageing body can take it. MP out.
