Nobody unless I am mistaken has talked about the possibility of friends within Equinor actually telling AB (Jog) to go it alone without them. I know business is business but I'm also sure friends will have been made over the last few year.
Equinor could have provided sound advice and/or suitable partners, that would explain the glee of happiness on AB's face during that interview.
