Thanks for the suggestion - I'm away travelling with work now, but I'll give them a phone when I get back on Tues. As you say, perhaps it helped me out, in the end! Let's see...
Off to work now. Last attempt to buy also rejected.
I just tried to buy 150k at 0.4 and it was automatically rejected. Just placed an order for 140k at 0.4 and it hasn't been rejected but has status of "unreleased" rather than a straightforward "open" order, whatever that means.
I tried to buy today at 0.4, but it got rejected. Not sure what's happening. No trades at all today. MMs day off?
I think you have a good buy (you are already in profit!). I don't have any doubt that they will rise again. Also, the plan is to acquire other companies that are already in production - once that happens, I think there will be considerable legs on this.
Their website does not appear to be up and running. Did it used to be there?
I sold out today - would have got more if I'd sold earlier, but I needed to think about it! I agree - trading fees can be a real bummer.
Hello, I feel like an imposter since I never read this board, but I'm with CAPT, which is currently trying to delist from AIM. Is CLIO like CAPT in that they will need 75% of vote to delist? CAPT SP price has fallen quite a bit since the announcement but am holding in case they offer an incentive to shareholders to get their vote for the delisting (directors don't hold many shares), but they could just be buying up all those being sold off. Not much discussion on LSE but a little bit of discussion on iii. Just wondered if anyone knew more details of what happens in these circumstances and whether sometimes there is an incentive to shareholders to get them to agree to the delisting?
http://www.asialaw.com/Article/689739/Article.html Link above talks about voluntary delisting where shareholder approval is required. Not sure if SEBI guidelines apply to AIM - have decided to hold in case we get offered fair market price to help them delist since they need 75% of vote (though it says in article, I think, about 25% above average SP over 26 weeks, which I guess would be about 0.4, although if they have to take independent estimate of "correct" share value it would be about 2p). I could still have this horribly wrong though and we could get shafted, so do let me know if you know anything I don't. I'll be watching tomorrow with interest, since, by looking at the trades, the consensus in the market seems to be that we should all sell (which makes me nervous).
... anyone can tell me what happens with a voluntary delisting - ie, when it goes to shareholder vote - I'd be grateful. Not sure if I should wait to see if the company offers an amount per share to encourage us to vote yes to its delisting or if we just get shafted and so it's best to sell. I'm guessing it's best to sell from current reaction and drop in SP, but would like confirmation. NKOTB - does your comment apply also to voluntary delistings? Thanks!
... the MMs have not allowed more than £500 traded at a time for months on end, even less at some other times. I believe some people have been offered to buy only at a ridiculous price as well - has this whole thing been manipulated?
http://www.capitalideasplc.com/docs/CI_AIMcancellation_30Jan09.pdf They need 75% of vote to get it through. Since they do not intend to be listed, I am not sure what happens. I understand that we can write to them to trade any shares we have and that this will be difficult because most people never bother to do anything like this and the shares are not so easily tradable, but I don't know if we have an option to have the company buy the shares from us (but at what price - 0.01p?) in order to delist. WIll this information come at a later date and is it usually at the going price before notifcation of intent to delist or much lower (higher?)?
What happens when the company delists? Is it like having our shares suspended for a few years or does the company pay us off or do we get a share of profit while delisted? Or do we just lose our money - the SP has plummeted.
A spread of 50%! This is ridiculous.
I don't suppose it will be worth their while posting the results this year now. Perhaps in Jan!
Going from last year, the interim results could be out this week. I see they also have Capital Mint - offering small gold bars and offer finishes on Monday, if not already sold out. Interesting times...
At least I have something in virtual profit, even if only for today!
Read your post several times! Just noticed the spread - 60%!! Not much activity and all very small amounts - guess MMs still not allowing big trades. I think one day it will come good!
Just the bad market conditions, I guess. Or a dull autumn day! Still not sure about this one...
Since the news did not encourage a sustained increase in price, why don't the MMs now allow people to buy more shares at a time? I would have thought increased trading might stimulate the price a bit?
