Remember in 2019 when CK assets, a Hong Kong based property developer took over greene king,who saw that coming ?

Adeg1,,got to agree with you on this one,it seems no matter how good the results are,and how many chances of, extra public holidays,record highs in weather,energy bills hedged,change in directors,this share price is still close to record lows during the covid era when not one pub,club etc were open and trading,

A good read in the "morning advertiser" ,it goes on to say CMBC secures 'momentous' 10-year agreement with Stonegate,but the article states it will only start seeing the extra cmbc brands across stonegates estate in approx spring 2024, any benefit from the new sales will probably only show late next year,

Lljeb The reason i stated self destuct regarding stonegate price rise is because in the same newspaper an article titled "Last orders... More than two pubs a day are lost in England and Wales amid soaring costs and tighter consumer budgets",i think its madness to raise prices at this time,

A couple of my mates work in the main marstons/carlsberg wines and spirits warehouse distribution center ,they say the majority of the orders sent out are supplying the stonegate pubs etc,if stonegate fail in this venture marstons/carlsberg are affected down the line,

Marstons sold the "wonkiest pub in Britain" thefor an undisclosed sum,two weeks later its burned to the ground,that one will never sell beer again,

As marstons are shackled to carlsberg,and carlsberg are not skint,is there any reason that carlsberg could be the new predator,as they actually own 60% could that have been just the thin edge of the wedge,

I Have to agree there,when in the covid era all pubs,clubs restraunts were closed and not trading the share price was at a 5 yearly low of 26.30,now we have good weather,no restrictions people staying in Britain for holidays and the share price is 30.05,wetherspoons,mitchels and butlers all doing fine,,,,any suggestions !

Same sector,drinks and hospitality,marstons release good news,share price goes down,m&b release similar news,share price rockets,there seems no other reason but marstons debt,

Lejjb,,The last time the 3 offers were put in to buy marstons and three times rejected it was kept secret,no one on this site knew or was told about it,could that be classed as "insider trading",??

Who ever is thinking of taking over a brewery/pub co looks spoilt for choice at the moment,flip a coin,mars or mab ? both have ample building land for the new "house building program" being pushed by the goverment,

Everytime we get some mediocre or good results the sp falls,has no one got any faith in this company anymore,
