I wouldn't worry too much about hindsight, the deal details could have landed and people could have completely missed out, there are two sides to every coin.

We could very well be looking at a rinse and repeat process for many years, your link suggests an agreement running up to 2035, that would be ample time to explore and structure further JV's as and when needed to progress the larger area to production -

That would require an awful amount of exploration still, Rosgeo are well suited for the task! -

Volchetundra

To date, 12,192m of drilling have been completed on the Volchetundra Licence. The focus has been on two areas of mineralized contact, Olche and Yukspor, located approximately 3.5km apart. Recent drilling tested 2.6km strike length at the more northern Olche prospect, whilst only 2km of strike-length was drill-tested at Yukspor. The total strike length of prospective contact zone within the licence area is interpreted to exceed 40kms.

Volchetundra requires far more exploration, Eurasia only scratched the surface back in Anglo JV days! It's a potentially massive resource base which will require lots of exploration to be done!

Whoever is working in the area right now will clearly benefit, they're the first movers. If you remember the terms of our JV with them, Eurasia had 24 months to decide which JV areas to take on, a similar situation may occur with Volchetundra under a separate JV at a later date, Eurasia have already explored part of the area after all, so, whatever work Rosgeo does will be adding on top of it!

The entire area is scheduled to go into production, it's a very large plan and requires an awful lot of industrial work, that's what takes so much time in these situations, but, it will all go ahead as planned.
