8 months … you don’t know what you are talking about. Mother Nature usually does it quicker than that and we are growing hydroponically. Held stated, not that anything they state can be trusted, 5 harvests a year , so roughly every 10 weeks. Also the 4 months timeframe is from Seed, so reasonable for the first crop, then it should just be putting the next batch of cuttings into flower stage from growth stage( very simple -done by reducing the amount of time the lights are on) for 10 weeks and next crop. Next set of cuttings ready. Repeat. This is obviously not happening. Yes, you can prolong the growth stage as long as you want and stop the plants flowering, = the mother plants, but Held want to do this commercially! The only reasons for Held not to have had a crop yet , if it has been grown FOR us and not BY us,are :
1. There are not very many plants
2. Held cannot go into commercial production
3. Held do not have control of the process
All imho.
As far as the US goes that is just federal law catching up with what many States have already implemented at a State level and there is zero chance that Held will benefit in any way - not our market.
HZM- I hope not too but highlights there is always a risk
Jam tomorrow- we are transitiong from an explorer to a miner, we are developing a mine( to be seen whether with or without a partner): you do understand how mining companies make money? If you want jam today maybe, with the timescales involved in developing a mine and remembering Havieron has been developed super quick without a DFS and DTM, this is not the type of company you should be investing in.
All imho and dyor
The loan rate seems more than fair but expansion of the facilities was planned to be achieved via sales. It would appear we still have nothing to sell, which is more than a tad worrying, but ,as stated, DD must surely have been done and an announcement about our first harvest imminent , or will it have been destroyed by an Attack of the spider mite? Meanwhile any early bird advantage is rapidly disappearing as rivals get their product grown and harvested. It is potentially a huge market but just look at the over supply in North America/ Canada : the same thing could easily happen/:is happening in Europe as there are a lot of alternatives to Held out there . As always DYOR and i would just start with the RNSs of the last 15 months here. Of course, time it right and some decent money could be made on a spike
I have just been involved with an MVL with Starvest(main holding GGP) and this just went straight to liquidators. Received the GGP shares ok but am following up on what happened to the AAU allocation. The issue, as I see it , here is the timescale to realise all of the APT payments. I am very wary of this projected new private company so am waiting on more info before deciding on my vote here. If there is a buy out of the old shares, as suggested, then I will almost certainly vote for no2 as well
Hi i am trying to get my head round the listing on NYSE. Before the listing UK investors had ordinary shares, now we have DIs. What I am trying to understand is how the DIs link with the ordinary shares trading on NYSE. Are they directly linked ? In that ,there will only be a limited supply of shares in NYSE until DIs get sold in the UK or does it work differently to that? Thanks for any guidance.
Assumptions to my previous post:
The GMA cultivation has nothing to do with Demecan
28kg- the plants are already dried and not still in the growth cycle/ only just being brought into the flowering stage. This assumption is probably wrong as we would have had news by now
Well we are rapidly approaching 4 months since the GMA started cultivating for us and still no news. What it would be good to know:
1)The purpose of the crop
Is it to find the best strain amongst a few?
Is it just to prove Held's process?
Is it just initially to get the mother plants ready and then start the cuttings off at some point?
Is it just for research purposes ?
2) The crop
How much is there?
Will there be any to sell?
If there is , will we be allowed to sell it?
If there is any to sell, I would be very surprised if it was more than 28kg ( absolute max)
Hopefully find out soon and all my concerns are unfounded
Trendz: genuine question. With the listing now on NYSE can you carry forward your position to them after LSE closes ? ( I have been told there is no such thing as a daft question but i have been mistaken before, so apologies if it is)
I have put it down to the irrationality of the market . I thought it was a pretty reasonable RNS so have topped up a little. I am sure once the other mines actually start production this will pick up nicely. Time will tell.
I accept that certain things seem to be lining up in Held's favour but they need to get growing sooner rather than later. A few similar projects happening in Iberia.Hopefully their timing of entering the market and their possibility to expand easily from initial commercial production(when it comes) will work well. My appetite for risk is somewhat subdued due to too many forays into AIM ,although, to be fair , you only need to get it right once to more than get your losses back - mine was BOOM( couldn't resist the name) and still have GGP to come, the rest were disasters. Waiting to reinvest here
€200m + potential. Unlikely because by the time Held get anywhere near 56 tonnes the market will have saturated like North America. It is not just Held trying to enter the market.Current wholesale price / gram in US is $2.31(15 December 2023) and is falling. Will medical cannabis have a premium? I would suggest only at the point of sale to the end customer.
Concerns with Held: Lots. e.g. RNS statements to do with timeframes, licence- we are currently having an unknown size crop being grown FOR us through the Greek Ministry of Agriculture.
Now does that mean Held will get some to sell? Is it just for research/ proving the concept functions as expected? If some to sell, what is the deal with the GMA?
Recent price rise- if this was an AIM stock I would be thinking an equity raise at a discount to today's price was coming.. However there is no revenue stream yet, 24 hour security( don't want anyone nicking the crop just before / after harvest) will be a significant ongoing cost.
At this stage of the company's evolution it is a gamble, pure and simple. If you can park your money up and the company makes it through the next 2 years there is a good chance of some serious profit. Otherwise just trade the ups and downs. IMHO
Ii do . Remember though to only do it in a trading account as delisted companies cause all sorts of issues in an ISA or SIPP
