George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
And a good poker player, RIP.
Its going to take quite some time to 'hoover up' all the single digit share-holdings from the President giveaway. Do the brokers bundle them up in 'parcels' before flogging them on? Because the dealing charges would negate any return, surely.
The Bamfords (owners of JCB) are already in the process of creating a UK hydrogen plant - to produce hydrogen fuel for all the heavy machinery they build.. They tried battery tech but they're absolutely useless for diggers/lorries etc. They only differ from your plan in one case. They - very cleverly - plan to draw down energy from the grid at night, mainly. This is when all those wind turbines are busy creating electricity ..... and the bulk of the customers are fast asleep in bed. Apparently industrial users can negotiate electricity prices at next to nothing, because no-one much wants or consumes the product at these times. And currently they can't store much, if any, of the electricity coming in from the wind farms at night & they just shut them down. If the JCB mob (with a pretty amazing track record in business) are getting involved in hydrogen production, you know its an important & profitable sector to be in. All good news for Atome - maybe we should nick some of their ideas, or collaborate on JVs, maybe.
The 'scarcity' seems to be doing wonders for the share price. I did a little top up on getting my 'freebies' - the thing that puzzles me is why (the biggest shareholder of Atome shares) President's own stock remains in the doldrums.
Could one of you 'knowledgeable lot' point me in the direction of where I can find a site/page to view the historical daily gross totals of shares, bought & sold, in HUR. I occasionally look at the 'trades page' on here & get thoroughly confused, on many a day, at the falling share price - when the 'blue buys' thoroughly outnumber the 'red sells'. The laws of supply & demand don't seem to apply to this share. How can MMs manipulate a market downwards - on many a day - that seems to have more buyers than sellers? I'm baffled!
Just what my tea leaves predicted yesterday ..... spooky!
RIP AAUK - I loved his informative posts. Enjoy the poker tables up & beyond, Sir. You will be sorely missed.
Errrr .... as the US is a net exporter of oil (& has been since 2011) how is a Saudi/Russian cut going to make any damn difference? America is swimming in the stuff.
AD - that Sixmax looks a cracking little Festival in Lloret de Mar, I love a holiday with a poker infusion. I rarely play much NLH anymore, the 're-entries' & total lack of personality in the younger players did it for me - killed the game. Though I'm still more than happy to turn out for HORSE, Mixed game and DC comps where I still definitely have the edge. Nothing like the blank face of a spotty yoof in a hoody, totally bamboozled by an 'oldie' who knows how to play' these 'stupid, effing games', lol.
Its a 'strange old game' construction. One of my lads is a surveyor for a house builder & they've shut down completely. The other is a tradesman for a small outfit and they're going full tilt - only because the materials suppliers will let them 'click & collect' (they agree a time and the gear is wheeled out on pallets, the staff withdraw, then they can load up) .... before anyone 'gets pompous' - its for the jobs on the NHS. A pal of mine is two weeks into Covid contraction & has been advised (by his Mum, a nurse) that he's still got another week to go to be clear. He described his 'journey' so far to me and, believe me, it was bloody scary. But being a poker player spent most of the call bemoaning almost certainty of the WSOP getting cancelled this year, lol. Stay safe folks.
AK - I was in Gentings @ Luton the other night for a comp & said to a pal (of Chinese heritage), " You start coughing, and I'm off." The other players looked aghast, but he just laughed and swore at me (some people don't get the 'strange humour' within part of the poker community). As he is 3rd generation, can't even speak/understand Cantonese and has never travelled further than the Isle of Wight ... I had him down as rather safe, personally. As for poker chips ... I tend to regard them as the petri dish of all diseases, local to the venue.
Ahhhh, that's not nice .... someone please tell the Italian Airforce to leave those gerbils alone.
Sunday lunchtime.
'Being Authentic and Bringing Your Whole Self to Work' .... UImmm - no thanks. I'd rather watch a random American fella, from somewhere in the Mid West, strip & re-assemble a 1950s Chevvy gearbox, on Youtube.
'I'm not a poker player, but didn't think bluster and threats (whether of the Cool Hand Luke variety or otherwise) were considered 'good form' .....
Definitely don't take it up - a night at Luton, or Asper's at Stratford, would scare the pants off you.
I once quickly 'flicked' KK in the hole, during a GUKPT side event @ Luton. Raised pre, on the flop, turn & the villain melted on the river to a sizeable bet. "That's the way you get value" turning over K 5 off, "errrrmmmm .... from a multi-barrel bluff", I jabbered - as I quickly changed my victory verbal mid-sentence trying not to look quite as shocked as the opponent. As you say - an easy mistake to make (more than once, in my case).
Extra Sensory Perception ..... a pre-requisite for dabbling in the AIM market.
