If youre inspiring to become a millionaire, would recommend a book called the Millionaire Next Door. Intersting survey into a range of people who become wealthy over the years. It turns out they have quite a number of common characteristics and more interesingly they are not as glamourous as one might think. Indeed many became wealthy by not splashing on exotic items like fancy cars and yachts etc because they view as waste of money. The billionaire Buffet for example, doesn't live in a large mansion but a rather modest one. Who is the monkey sounding name guy, sounds interesting?
listen2urself, indeed it's true some people have gameplan. Hopefully, those the less experienced will learn over time and develop their own strategies and understand how best to navigate the markets. There are some dirty sharks out there just waiting to pounce on the new guys, so they should ideally learn quickly.
Personally speaking, holding long term in the right investments has worked out better for me than trading. And I'm sure that's true for many others too.
Disagree completely that only peple with a few hundred quid hold for the long term. You mentioned Buffet in a previous thread. He is famous for being a patient long term investor - a holder - and I'm sure has more than a few quid in the bank. He is just one example. Can you name any famous rich day traders?
listen2urself, In term of rerating, I guess it depends on what timeframe people are operating in. Some are obessing over 5 minute price movements and others have a longer term view.
The additional listing is an important step as Argo will be available to a much wider audience than in the past. All crypto stocks are looking shaky right now because of the correlation with Bitcoin. Once Bitcoin has made its mind up and continues moving up, the listing will prove beneficial in terms of rerating.
It comes back to patience. If people don't have patience, they should stick with short term day trading rather than long term investing.
The first quote about patience is referring to his investment philosophy. The second quote about crypto is his opinion on a specific asset.
The latter is more subject to change than the former.
Like when he dumped his favourite airline and banking stocks during Covid. Or when he bought a gold mining company despite saying gold was a poor investment for many years.
Whilst his opinions on specific companies and industries may change over time, his investing style based on patience will likely remain the same.
Patience is important when it comes to both investing and when dealing with trolls.
Besides, do we know for sure Buffet is not invested in Bitcoin? Maybe he just hasn't disclosed it yet. Jamie Dimon called Bitcoin a fraud too at one point, but now his firm are fully onboard.
ATrade you talk a lot of nonsense. Here, I will spell it out for you and anyone else what you wrote only yesterday:
Ned the majority of the good investors made their multi bags, saw it for what it is, made thousands, and sold out, all that’s left are gamblers late to the party expecting J.P. Morgan 140k off $ predicted btc price to happen in the next few days or free riders.
That rise is done , after seeing the decline (or cooling off lol) no one sensible will gamble on investing in BTC or arb when it’s dropped so much...it’s been pumped and is now being dumped. It’s pretty simple and obvious to a novice. Oh arb is going to be listed, more buyers, who cares if the price of btc is peanuts, arb is basically btc and if that goes to sh*t then so does argo block chain.
I will highlight the best parts:
>the majority of the good investors made their multi bags, saw it for what it is, made thousands, and sold out,
>all that’s left are gamblers late to the party
>no one sensible will gamble on investing in BTC or arb when it’s dropped so much
>it’s been pumped and is now being dumped.
Who is the real troll here?
ATrades, Less than 24 hours ago you were claiming all investors had left Argo and only gamblers remained on this pump and dump project as you call it. Lol. I cant keep up with you lads anymore. I'm done with this board for now, will be back later this year. Nothing has changed, Bitcoin will moon this year and so will Argo. Nothing further to add... I'm just another voice in the crowd with an opinion, but recognise I've spent too much time on here which may be better spent elsewhere. Good luck to everyone.
KGR is spot on with the DeFi (decentralised finance). If you guys are invested in this stock but not exploring blockchain/cryptocurrencies and DeFi in particular, earning a yield on your assets, you're missing out.
I'm getting an easy 7% APR on my USD stablecoins, a similar return as a typical stocks and shares index tracker. Slightly higher than the 0.01% my bank gives me...

Predictions of short term momentum are kind of weak to be honest. When price is moving down, of course it’s likely it will continue moving down in the next 5 minutes. Same is true moving up. No pearls of wisdom here, my dear.
I'm off to do some exercise. Don't forget to look after your bodies, especially during these lockdown periods. Locked in these 4 walls is a precursor to being locked in the 4 walls of a coffin (!) Extend that time by getting your heartbeat pumping. Pushups, situps, squats, sex, etc,
Sincerely,
Mr Motivator
