Really good detail there JonTaylor, thanks. I hope we are nearly rock bottom for SP now and the only way is up. And yes there are many positives here The impending announcement of the new CEO, a good name who can steer the ship will result in a rise in the SP. Finalising the franchise deal with Boots will be another and if there is an increase in child births aka Baby Boom that will result in a higher demand of baby clothing that will be another. Hope we are not hit by a rights Issue though.
Was that your buy JonTaylor?:) Haven’t seen a trade like that for Mothercare for a while, hoping for some positive news soon as my investment value is down and (I bought at 8p), I stand on the positive side of the fence and believe we will see a higher sp down the line. GLTYA
Yes Boots Opticians are the main ones affected as they were down 72% compared to the same quarter last year.
By what I understand Boots had this in the pipeline anyway, covid 19 just accelerated it.
I think the Mothercare deal will go ahead, it definitely would be in Boots interest aswell as it would increase footfall in there stores.
Hello Billcn
I got it from morningstar https://tools.morningstar.co.uk/uk/stockreport/default.aspx?Site=uk&id=0P00007OMY&LanguageId=en-GB&SecurityToken=0P00007OMY%5D3%5D0%5DE0WWE$$ALL
They were right about the transformation update from last week so I expected this to be the same.
I do hope we have shortly some positive news, a final signature on the Boots franchise would be nice or a star CEO would be good too. All the Best
Thanks Jon, I think we are going to experience quite a lot of turbulance with this stock but I am in for the ride too, I think getting the deal finalized with Boots is going to be key to get this stock going would love to see it hit the 30p range.
Not sure why the SP reacted so negatively yesterday, it was clear that the interm chief executive was that interm and that shortly they would appoint a permanent one and I hope a good one that can drive the company foward.
It in discussions with debt providers for further recapitalization of the business with I hope minimum dilution to us shareholders.
The Boots deal is yet to be finalized and getting it completed is key, once it has been signed on the dotted line I am pretty sure this will have a positive impact on the SP.
Hello fellow investors!
Hope your enjoying your weekend, just looking on the web on Morningstar and they have tomorrow as the next event of the company’s final results!?

They are a household name and resonates with many of us, I am pretty sure the franchise with Boots in the uk will improve there position significantly and drive the SP, if there is a baby boom all the better.
At the moment it’s all Eerily quiet, hardly no trades, hoping to see some movement soon, have 80.000 shares @ 8p. GLTYA
The full range of mothercare new lines launches in october @ Boots https://www.boots.com/mothercare?storeId=11352&catalogId=28501
nearly 9 months after lockdown..I wonder why......
There is mix messaging on this, some say there won’t be a baby boom due to this crisis and other that there will be. If there is a Baby boom plus the tie-up with Boots that should be confirmed early summer that would be fantastic news for shareholders.
Hello fellow investors!
I am new investing myself, for some time I have thought if buying shares but I thought that now with the market turmoil is probably a good time of having a go at it on a small capital business which if done rightly gives higher returns, I read a lot about mothercare a household name and the restructuring that has gone in place in the UK to streamline the business, the shares are dirt cheap atm. the upcoming franchise with boots is exciting and I do believe that a baby boom is one the way which looks like a perfect storm to me. Historically looking at the shares they were trading at 250p five years ago, I seriously doubt they will reach those levels, but I would like your thoughts on what you think would be a realistic share maximum expectations and should I view this as a long term investment.?
Thank You
