Roadchef have 30.
Welcome break have 35.
Moto have 58.
I suspect the company wanting the 160kw unit is possibly one of these.
Just been doing some quick calculations and rough estimates but if we were to get a contract from say roadchef to install one 160kw charger at 15 of these service stations, that will equate to a revenue of approximately £9,000,000 if these 160kw chargers are sold at £600,000. I got to that figure with a 25% discount on the 20kw system which I think is on the conservitive side.
Looking at just a small amount of systems and just a fraction of AFC's possible customers and products, I am increasing optimistic about AFC energy and it's future.
Looking at my estimations it would be the same cost for roadchef to install rapid EV chargers in 15 of it's sites with AFC as it would be to install the grid network at one location. Also we should be able to deliver these as early as June whereas roadchef could wait years for the grid to be upgraded.
It seems like a no brainer to me if I was looking to increase EV capacity and had to wait for the national grid to upgrade the network. Win win
