Agreed on the addiction thing! I just signed up to the £24 a month service on LSE a couple of days ago and can't take my eyes off the pretty flashing lights :-)

2 different sides of a coin. Indepth tells us of impending doom, laidback tells us we are all going to be rich. Suggest taking both with a pinch of salt and making up your won mind :-)

Just back from Tenet. Won't say it is the best film I've ever saw but not the worst either. (Someone here mentioned that they preferred Inception to Tenet and i would agree - but personal taste etc etc - would still advise you to go and make your own decision) Just glad to be back at the cinema! Around 40-50 people in our screen (big screen though so certainly wasn't busy). Pretty much everyone had something to eat or drink with them and once seated, almost all masks were off. Felt totally safe and just hope our local Cineworld starts showing stuff other than tenet soon :-)

Seems to wield a fair amount of power in the movie industry. Think I will sit back and ride the CINE train for a while to see where we end up!

@NOFEAR I got the 24:9 from the share price tab showing the totals for today on this website. As Zoro pointed out (and often does :-) ) This did not include the 2.3M UT at the end of the day.

Date on which the threshold was crossed = 26th Aug. Wasn't it Wednesday where we had the huge BUY:SELL ratio (similar to today)? If so then do you think we can expect another similar RNS in a few days time that might explain the 24M Bought:9M Sold today?

Having just watched it again, he mentioned the "news" right after talking about viewing figures and Tenet releasing. I suspect he just meant he expects to report positive attendance figures over the weekend. (Hope it's something more earth-shattering but that's how I read it).

Seemed to mean the news was for the industry in general rather than just CINE so don't think takeover. Also don;t think it will purely be based on Tenet sales as it isn't open in the states until 3rd September. So that;s what I don't think - no idea what it might be though. Maybe news on CA and NY getting ready to open up?

Another ~100 US Cinemas opening tomorrow. Just need California and New York to get themselves sorted. Would be great if they could all open in time for Labor Day in US (7th Sept) but that might be asking too much!

I didn't see anything that i thought would have much effect on us, but we've jumped up a bit so no complaints!

lol - normally we've had a few posts about how we are going to fly once the US market opens.

No idea how much such a bid might be, but the likes of Disney, Amazon, Netflix etc wouldn't bat an eyelid at the sums involved.
