Voting at general meeting23 Mar 2017 19:22
I have had a phone call from a chap from Boudicca Proxy Consultants, who said they were acting on behalf of AVO, (as well as a letter in the post this morning) informing me of the meeting on the 31st and requesting that I vote in favour of the resolutions. Most odd, as I hold, like most people I suspect, through a nominee. I asked him how they'd got my number, he explained that nominee companies are duty bound to release names and addresses of holders and that they were then searching for tel numbers from that information! How much is this costing?
I asked whether they were contacting everyone or just holders of a significant number of shares and he seemed to say anyone whose tel number they could get hold of! I confess that whilst I have been following the discussion here and was aware of the meeting, I haven't done as much reading on this as I would normally because of other things going on. I'm resigned to holding AVO and hoping that eventually the product comes good - I do believe in the technology and company although my patience is being stretched like a lot of other people's.
One question that someone may be able to answer; why are they having a vote on something which appeared to be a 'done deal' - I thought from what I'd read here that they had already taken the first tranche of Bracknor money? Any constructive discussion/feedback gratefully received.
