There was a large sell yesterday that signalled to me that it was possibly the last of the Miton shares being sold. I think it was in the region of 130k - 140k shares and NOT a round number. I know that there were buyers waiting until the selling had finished and know that they bought today. Somobody on ADVFN (where all the VRS chat is) said that they'd chatted to Gervais Williams (a Miton fund manager) and he confirmed that they had all the cash required for redemptions. Hence the price rise today. The big seller looks like they've gone.
Simple. Miton have stopped selling and folk that were waiting for that to happen are buying in at these prices. The selling pressure has gone. Onwards and upwards from here hopefully
4rok is correct. Neill followed up his picture with that article. I thought it may have been China related. This from the European Commission website
"The European Union and China are two of the biggest traders in the world. China is now the EU's second-biggest trading partner behind the United States and the EU is China's biggest trading partner.
The EU is committed to open trading relations with China. However, the EU wants to ensure that China trades fairly, respects intellectual property rights and meets its obligations as a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO)."
Not a great day on the market as a whole but this looks like the sideways trading that Nic forecast a few weeks back. SP should see an upturn from here IMO. Also, that's my last 3 buys now not showing up as trades at all, never mind buys
Miton group PLC have been selling (we all knew that) and they have crossed a threshold that requires notification. They still hold around 148,665,029 shares or circa 4.86% of VRS.
Eh? You've only gone and missed the big one - China! As for timescales and revenue, NR said today that he doesn't know what collaborations will be the first or the biggest. The more the merrier as he sees it as derisking every time a tie in is announced. I concur. This is the one share that I feel very comfortable with and feel able to sit back and relax and let it happen.
