Harland and Wolff has continued to build a strong pipeline of work by winning a flurry of new global deals this week which will see it build barges, a floating dock and aluminium ships.

This week Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard) co-hosted the National Shipbuilding Office with CLIA | Cruise Lines International Association on a fascinating fact-finding visit on the potential opportunities and economic benefits that accrue from cruise refit and repair.

The National Shipbuilding Office were in Rotterdam earlier this week, visiting Cunard's Queen Mary II as it underwent refit whilst in dry dock. Joined by CLIA | Cruise Lines International Association and hosted by Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard), the National Shipbuilding Office looks forward to further engagement with the cruise sector as it believes there is a real chance for UK shipyards to benefit from the cruise refit and repair opportunity.
