Just watched the interview with Robert Jenrick. The Gov is delivering mixed messaged on many fronts right now. It is a tad strange, i do appreciate this is an unprecedented situation. But surely go with the tests that exist, then try develop your own.

Jacksdad, i applaud your daughters exploits. But she would have 0 knowledge of the national shortages and response. she works in a singular unit. Not tasked with managing the wider response. She is in the trenches, so to speak.

If we are to believe current figures, a mere 2,000 out of 500,000 front line staff have been tested.

If you draw comparisons to the South Korean & German response they prioritized testing and as a result were able to manage their death rates. As they have a more accurate reading of infection numbers then can allocate appropriate resource where needed.

To boot, you are in no way well researched here, as when i presented you with evidence yesterday you slivered off very quickly indeed.

Of course they have specific agencies. but please point me in the direction of the Pakistani Pandemic response team that are prepared for what is to come. As well as the medical infrastructure required to support them.

They will have to mobilize testing across the country, increase capacity of ICU, ensure lockdowns are adhered to, dispose of the dead. Shut down industry, raise stimulus packages to support the slowdown. As they are an LEDC many will be starving, so they have to feed these people, ensure their safety.

If you do not believe large portions of the Gov will be re purposed to handle this, you have blinkers on.
