Tesla showing on Bloomberg as opening at $670 , down 3%. But mine will show up by 5 dollars. A company going up in price when the market goes down 2-3%, I would not normally be a day I would take profit on.

Tesla appear to be showing down 5% based on a close price of $695 at around $665. Most places were showing that as a closing price on Friday, as this site does. My shares are showing that price and not showing $695. So it may open similar to what it closed at $665 ish. But markets have reacted to the new mutation so I am expecting a drop, but the US stimulus will push it higher over q1 2021. IMHO

I will tell you. Last engines on a cargo plane was a 747-400 for cargolux.
They didn’t do totalcare so no onward money earning .
Plus they lost 4 million on the engine sales.

You do you think Brexit is a big issue.
They transferred Design responsibility to Germany for Trent engines, so it’s under EU rule.
All supply chains outside of the EU will still be outside and know what’s involved, ie no change.
6% of parts are made in the UK and might need some extra paperwork.

There are zero tariffs on aero parts across the world.

Where exactly is the issue with Brexit.

I have been investing for over 30 years, back then you had to go into a branch and get them to buy you a share certificate which came about 14 days later. How times have changed.

Those guys who want a volatile share , you have it here, but no one knows which way it’s going to go . Make your bet up or down and enjoy the ride.

I will repeat, if your looking for longer term results, to me this is not the share to buy. Wait till mid 2021.

If this virus continues to the 4th quarter of next year, this could be a penny share.
If they can vaccinate the world by 2nd quarter 2021 it could be £2:50.

In the article it states that algorithms will be working hard on Monday to sell and buy stock to balance portfolios. Think that means index funds.
Active funds will have been buying. .

Think thats why it jumped to 695 at the close, it also states some thinking it might be 740 just after the open

I would say taking profits is always a personal choice but you are in a good position.

Next week is going to be very interesting for us Tesla share holders. There are a lot of index trackers that now need to rebalance their funds. Tesla is said to be 1% of the S &P 500 index come Monday.

On profit taking, I always look at things like, do I think it’s plateaued?
What are the fundamentals of the company, are they still the same as what got to buy the share in the first place.
I am not going to pretend I know what’s going to happen next week, my thoughts are it should rise next week, but I would not I am confident of it.

Depending on the level of your membership you can get different levels of access to inform you on your choices .
Think at level two you can view how many shares are set to auto sell or buy at a particular price. This can help you set stock loss prices or your buy price choices.

If you are thinking of doing an amount of day trading or just a lot of trading , can I recommend something like ADVFN. 12 years ago when I had 50k in shares (pre-divorce) I shared an account with my mother who also bought and sold lots of shares at the time. Back then it was £15 a month , but have live prices and live alerts, I easily made 10 that a month just because I had that account and saw short term dips or rises which helped make more profit.

It’s interesting, since I retired my investments have made on average £1,500 per week. Double what I earned working. Retirement is ace, shame I cannot spend it on holidays. Damn Covid.

Adamski007, the plant is to be shut, not sure your following the news close enough.

It’s an interesting share, have a few.Thing is your going on about other manufacturers making electric cars.Your right , you can buy a Nissan or or Peugeot etc that can do 70-120 miles on a charge.Tesla’s can do 240+ Miles and going to soon do 400+.miles.Plus they are starting to gain a cult status, bit like an Apple iPhone. You might own a smart phone but your a lessor person if it’s not an Apple one.That’s happening with Tesla, in your yuppie environmentalist circles if you say you have an electric car and then say it’s Nissan, it’s like Meh!!
