Vii. You never know :-).... possible. I'm invested in rbw so know all the names involved. That's how it got spotted.
Just thought it was an interesting (incestuous) link but in a good way. TM have definitely dug down the back of the sofa for this REE investment. Interesting too they paid a 20% premium on current SP. 5 directors also went in on the placement including the one that directly advises TM. I've linked the rns for you.
There's noney behind techmet and they are a savvy crew. Let's see if they add more CL to their portfolio.

@vii.
Hope you're well. Off topic, but you might find interesting.
Announced today, Techmet have just thrown £5.54 million at Rainbow Rare Earths in a private placement. Basically funding for a pilot plant.
The interesting part is one of the conditions of the raise is installation of a techmet director (10%+) as a NED on RBWs board. Techmet already have a reciprocal arrangement, rainbows non executive chairman is on their list of advisors.
Close bi directional ties formed there. An interesting personnel structure.
Watch this space to see if a similar deal is struck closer to home in Cornwall.

Morning all.
Very interesting development. Also this...

"Board Representation.
As part of the Subscription, the Company has agreed to grant TechMet the right to nominate one Director to the Board of the Company, for so long it holds at least 10% of the issued shares in the Company. Accordingly, it is intended that Mr Darryll Castle, TechMet's Director of Operations, will be appointed as a Non-Executive Director to the Board of Rainbow shortly after Admission and an announcement will be made on appointment."

Adonis Pouroulis is currently sat on Techmet's advisory board. Close links being formed here between the two companies imo.

@fulmar.
I checked a few weeks back with a pal of mine from another bb who has an ortex subscription. I contacted him based on Spreadex having 2.6% tied up in cfds as per last TR1 rns. Got this reply. Forgot to post it at the time.
- - -
"Ortex - RBW latest...
Very little shorting action showing - ortex doesn’t pick up cfd trades as no stock actually loaned I believe.
Flagged shorts - zero last one 18 months ago
Stock on loan - zero reported - last 12 month ago - printed as N/A
Insider dealings - last one buy December 2022"
- - -
Upshot was - How many of those cfds are longs or shorts is unknown. It's probably quite fluid.
Each to their own. Shorting and spread betting ain't for me. Going long's enough of a gamble. ;)

Many thanks @Neilin - as ever your posts helping to fill in the gaps in my sketchy knowledge. Much appreciated.
Companion therapeutics. Indeed ! personally I am quite buoyed by Corepath and Conduits involvement stateside. A nice combo especially Corepath although I have to say I'm not totally convinced of their geographic reach for a full US roll out. My experience of dealing with US markets (telecoms and cellular equipment so totally unrelated product) is it's very territorial.
We shall see on that one. Better to have them on board than not.
... and now we're moving into cats, dogs and rabbits... I'm never totally sure if you're joking sometimes :)))
Probably shouldn't laugh as you might not be.
Good post and good to hear from you.

Think so too @Chuggley. Plus the chance for the Conduit nasdaq listing some time in the coming days/weeks/months. In no way a necessity but would give Ciz access to a healthy pipeline of working capital and de-risk any cash flow issues for a few years. Add to this possible future SGS royalties further down the line. This Conduit listing could literally drop at any time in the next 9 months. A few good folk here have their ears to the ground on Murphy Canyon news and post useful updates.
My understanding on the assays/reagents though are that the two lung projects are independent of each other. A phased development plan, but please correct me if I've got it wrong. This text from the recent results RNS is my reasoning..
- - -
'The Board intends for the Group's initial product to be a diagnostic immunoassay that can be readily performed by hospitals and reference laboratories, but a potential follow-on product could be a point of care test provided by a primary health care provider.'
- - -
I'm still getting my head round it all but this seems a sensible roadmap to limit cash burn. Imagine that this plays out well and the lab test got successfully to market, even on a limited scale, but in a way big enough to generate ongoing revenue to codevelop the point of care test. Lab test alone would be exciting. Fantasy scenario - If I understand it correctly this POC test, subject to licencing, could ultimately be further developed to a true home test similar to the C19 lateral flow jobbie. Revenue from UK market alone is sizeable. Corepath are looking at US rollout. A few years off but sit down and breathe slowly when you think about that.
Back on planet earth, even if JUST the lab test makes it past certification and to production, with the right sort of JV partner for manufacture, CIZ could continue as a going concern churning out kits with a huge ongoing captive market. Any T/O is optional. But again another fantasy scenario, there is potential for lofty valuations if you consider factoring in POC test and ultimately home tests.... then add other cancer markers. If the science checks out Ciz will almost certainly not be able to fly under the radar of a bigger fish.
With all due resect I'm not quite at Jace's £15ps but current MCap 11m ??? and 20m director share options @10p ??? Valuation for CIz product portfolio is north of here.
The ultimate potential here is phenomenal, but feet planted on the ground with SP at 3p it does require some of the science ducks to line up now and quack in the right order. The finance ducks already seem to have formed an orderly queue albeit just a little spaced apart. Careful management of the development process and the associated costs is key.
It seems that the team are carrying that task out admirably IMO.
AIMO DYOR but personally speaking happy with what team Ciz are currently doing.

Personally speaking I'm planning to wait until the ACTUAL product from the ACTUAL RBW gypsum stacks hits the ACTUAL front end pilot plant and thereafter the ACTUAL concentrate moves on to the ACTUAL back end pilot plant in the US.
Throughout this chain of events the 'best design guess' for chemistry, equipment and process will be used at pilot scale to derive ACTUAL numbers. Planned for publication via a suitably competent person. This best guess comes from years of experience from experts in their respective disciplines.
Hopefully the output will be ....
NPV
Projected Opex
Projected CapEx
Projected Recovery rates
Contaminant levels.
Suitability and purity of Bi products
Scale up costs.
Projected revenue.
LoM (although not technically a mine)
Interesting stuff. Loads of detail to savour if we get to see it.
Ultimately (as per the rns) a DFS is planned alongside additional drilling to upgrade inferred resources to more accurate measured and indicated levels and potentially issue a [mine] plan.
JORC complaint and 'bankable' in the sense of enabling an easier path to sourcing capital to take this project to full production.... Hopefully in a few years time.
Probably best to assess the pilot plant results and discuss based on actual data rather than endlessly speculating on what it might be, or where the theoretical pitfalls lie.
I doubt wether the BOD / Mintek /k-Tech know 100% for certain what surprises lie ahead even with all their collective years of experience . Or on the flip side what new incentives may become available (further REE tax breaks for example) to improve the economics.
Fundamentally there is a slim risk it may not work or be economically viable - which is precisely why they are going to great lengths building an elaborate prototype plant and plan to assess the outputs scientifically.
There maybe iterative tweaks to the flow sheet along the way leading to delays but this plan sounds like good due diligence to me.

Evening all, I noticed a linkedin post by Corepath tonight. Nothing new but nice to see they have featured Allans recent Vid in their April newsletter....

Morning all.
Looks alright to me, nothing unexpected from a quick scan, but need to pour over it properly.
Allan and the team seem to have a sensible plan in place to progress multiple development operations in parallel with low cash burn.
Perhaps some are frustrated with the apparent lack of news but there's plenty of good stuff happening in the background, things that take time and were set in motion a while back. Barring any setbacks these are likely to be approaching fruition in the coming months. Managing expectations, my personal timeline is this autumn for all these loose ends to come together. I'll be delighted if its sooner.
Personally speaking I'm happy to wait for those items to conclude, content that Ciz are seemingly running the ship on a tight budget.

It might only be 10% of Phal but it's been suspended for over 2 years now. I still maintain it's a massive downside not to have it producing revenue for 24 months. Instead ongoing cash burn keeping it in care and maintenance.
A reminder of the timeline here..

I find it strange given I was reading the other day that Burundi is ranked as having one of the lowest GDP's in the world when assessed per capita. You'd think they'd be all over it promoting export and trade and trying to generate wealth ???

Morning all.
This RNS reads well to me. Not sure if I'm reading between the lines too much but this phrase stood out -
'Builds on successful outcomes of current research programme on meeting key milestones for monoclonal antibody characterization and assay platform optimization'
Note the last three words - does this suggest that the assay optimization is nearing a key milestone? Even better, actually the milestone has already been met ?
Base case : assay optimization is progressing well to schedule
More news on the assays in the near future would be fantastic and could prove quite a catalyst if the market grasps the concept and gravity of the news. Fingers crossed.

Tygra 16:34.
You too matey. Small holding here from a few years back (so a horrible average that's slowly coming down with a monthly HL subscription) but following the GGP story with interest. No where near well enough researched to post anything meaningful, but there's some good GGP folk with great knowledge so good info to point me in the right direction to follow up. Generally a nice clean chat so happy to read up and learn a bit more. Probably going to sit in the shadows and keep out of the way, but big kudos to those more in tune that are providing the crumbs for me to follow. Appreciate it!
All the best my 'ansom - wish you well here and elsewhere.
