Those probably were already sold before the conversion and they're now forward selling the next batch looking for a future conversion at an even lower price.

If the company needs more money, "institutions" will be forward selling to cover in the next placing.

Be careful what you wish for. This could be further short selling to be covered in a future 8p placing.
