I am serious. Jim is a semi-retired oilman and corporate financier, who writes a newsletter as a sideline.

He knows a lot more about the reality of the public markets and the corporate workings of the industry than a technical guy like Hobbs.

But while you remain ignorant, how will you know who is most suitable or best qualified?

Re PANR (since Tony's talking about it here) the question should be does Jim really want to get mixed up with this?

Anyway, I think David and Jim should get along with each other just fine. They're peers (see my post to Rabito in reply to his on the PANR board this morning), although I suspect Jim has enjoyed slightly more personal success than David.

It's not name dropping, Rabito, they're peers. Both get involved with big projects at the real end of the industry, both do farm-outs to majors.

Suggest you actually read Jim's content, chriscom, then you might learn something.

Spoke too soon. Tony's been caught out again lying on the PANR board and on this one I3E. As usual trying to undermine Jim. He's been making a big deal about the list of subscribers on Substack. However, the subscribers listed on Substack are only those of people who have selected to publicly show their subscription. The true number is massively higher.

Why is it important? Because if he's lying about this, he's undoubtedly lying about a lot more, I.e., what he's feeding you.
