Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Bit of a white knuckle ride for large holders like us. Setting stop losses maybe an option but could sell and be out when a good RNS announced. Echo and Coro also at lows.
Not seeing any new big buys from the big bosses to invoke confidence either. However overall the F.T. October market has been pretty much down. but A.I.M has always been more of a gamble. not for widows and orphans.
Rather nice to see some buys coming in after Tuesdays LSE Brewer Hall event advertised top of page here and is most welcome after the recent s.p. roasting.
Was fortunate to speak to Fiona after the updates, to compliment on planned progress. and mentioned that the ECHO plc webpage Argentinian charity link showed another side of the company, she said the poverty was very bad their what with the peso problems..
Am personally still down 26% on £58k 13p. average, but have food in the fridge several business properties income so really nothing to grumble about compared with others.
Just got back from Brewers Hall LSE event, two sets of video cameras were set up in the function room, therefore Savanna CEO and Echo CEO presentation will be on Youtube shortly.
Just got back from London LSE event at Brewers Hall, Echo Fiona was a lot less boring than Savanna CEO update, Malky did his usual good pragmatic opinions on oilies with his bucket list..
Some suspicion was raised that investors have sold Echo etc to move to Sound on LE speculation.
Basically Echo and Fiona have a very good business plan.
The s.p. will recover.
As in Al Co Hol. Crude, That would be a killer for me and my George Best liver.
Off to LSE Brewers Hall, for tri oily Echo evening event Tuesday night, but would have loved the possibly last trip before L.E. to visit Tendrara. not unless Sidi is separated off. J.P works in mysterious ways hence C4 we asked him about at the last event.
Interesting link to events in North Africa, with some sub news on Morocco on emigration, with regard to building their economy by encouraging people to stay.
Any success in oil and gas exploration will help the governments enlightened economy plans.
And hopefully Sound Energy.
Saved a ticket for Malky's Brewers Hall tri company update including Echo, just hope the share doesn't do a Sound Energy drop afterwards as last week, market makers are fickle looking for chinks in the news to exploit.
Pity the two companies hadn't combined the Sound Geology event to save two London trips for me.
Still in this as business plan looks good with income and exploration with a partner but not over stretched and looks undervalued currently.
As I arrived 20 minutes late Tuesday morning and walked into the darkened Geology auditorium room to look for a seat, James grabbed my hand and shook it. before propelling me forward to a seat.
All the news and revelation should be at least holding the s.p at 39/40p. their is no pleasing some traders.
Back to my screen and buy to let remortgage downloads and signatures. too much gloom and doom. Happy days.
Well for thanks for time and effort to relate yesterdays meeting to others not able to attend at Piccadilly.
I was their to catch up with events and after drink mingle. To pick up on any slips of information. re. C4 or handing over the reins to someone else on end of contract or L.E. prior to this. Somewhat all conjecture Cards still hidden!.
A.I.M companies shares are a gamble, if success on T11 etc. then relief, if not then consternation. to my portfolio valuation. Not for widows or orphans or with borrowed money.
Two choices with stocks, sell on good news rises to later buy back lower (hence the annoying professional shorters/derampers) pushing our shares down, or as I am doing long term hold.
Was a bit put out when our Echo dropped from 17p to 11.5p but Fiona and the board also have shares. so in their interest is to make this baby of hers take off.
My Halifax portfolio valuation average showing 13.22p on 442417 shares. Bought for £58,526.15p
now showing paper loss of £4,551.28p 7.78%. last month was £70k. no point fretting, am holding for 20p.
Am staying with my daughter in Almeria and homepage opened in Spanish, the finance news has a report on the Argentine Peso situation. so switched to yahoo uk for English but not seeing same report.
Grand daughter fluent in Spanish is currently reading for me.
Am average of 13p so hoping some positive news eventually to lift the s.p.
Am also off today, to Almeria for family visit, but. over seventies travel insurance is a pain if health issues on going, so giving Morocco a miss.
My daughter has internet on at home so can follow the shares and banking.
Sound spread started off at 6% now 3%, for a minute thought impending news on a takeover.....
Sorry for the observation of mud slinging but Tableleg is right we are all in this company to make money and prove to detractors we have a promising investment.
Will be going to the Geology review at Piccadilly but had to pass on Tendrarra trip, but expect a video will be available afterwards.
Geology and info from Sound John plus Echo Fiona and Andrew Hockey of I.O.G. is always interesting.
These guys sniff out the opportunities in oil and gas. Fiona originally from Rockhopper is also involved in I.O.G. (recently doubled s.p.) seems to be a cabal of geologists and some J.P. accountants to set up companies or reverse take overs to make cornerstone investors millions.
Have been reading hundreds of posts over last few months. but nice to see Mr Crudes posting plus a few other long termers.
Not going on Morocco trip owing to health insurance cost, but will visit Sept. London geological update meet.
Not exactly teeth grinding time but would be nice after all these years of investing in Sound Energy and visiting presentations to reap the rewards of L.E.
Went to Stansted airport this morning to collect my teen grand daughter from Almeria and Argentinian friend and told her all about my Echo investment and Fiona, plus Sound but didn't see J.P.
What's all this Rumpas, what matters is how much we get for our Sound investment L.E. before we pop our clogs
Teanna said at home was 43c. sh.t am melting at 34c. not going Tendrara, health insurance more than the flight.
Buenos noches ...amigos...
Well what ever the buy out liquidation price, as I mentioned to J.P. after the Coro presentation, that capital gains tax could be deferred over several tax years if payment was in shares instead of cash or part as in Shell. Shares, for instance, the response was positive...
With my current holding I would be content with a quid per share, just like to see a good outcome for us all after all these years since Indonesia and Jerry Orbell. and wave the fat cheque at deramper Fatty R !..
Just out of interest. Fiona joined independent oil and gas, recently as a non executive director based on her experience with Rockhopper as a geologist. and in the circle of James Parsons group.
Am still kicking myself for not buying a large investment in I.O.G. last may when 16.5p as now 28p. after being introduced to Andrew Hockey by J.P at the Coro presentation previously, who is a geologist with I.O.G.
Just hope the big money wakes up to Echo,s potential.. would,nt want to be out of this.
