I saw a note yesterday saying the LSE had dismissed their application to join the main market as the time limit had expired. I also no longer see these shares in my HL portfolio. Doesn't bode well.

IMO they sold their shares to Conduit Pharma, the trading arm of SGS, of which David Tapolczay is director. Read the SGS accounts for further info.

I think they are still holding because there is some mileage in the drug. I think SGS would have told VELA when negotiating the investment that if there is some value in the drug post trial then they will transfer the holdings over to Conduit, the trading arm of SGS. In my opinion, although we have not had a deal yet, i don't believe this is dead.

SGS Global is now called Conduit Pharmacy. David Tapolcazy is a director of both SGS Capital and Conduit. SGS Capital own 22.5% of Conduit. My suspicion is SGS sold/transferred/gave/donated their VELA shares to Conduit Pharma.

The company would NEVER admit defeat and state the trial has failed and commercialisation deals have ceased. Even if AZD 1656 is sat on a dark shelf in a cellar. We will either hear of a deal (not going to happen IMO) or talks will be forever ongoing.
