Slippy, the book is fascinating and insightful. It isn't just about sugar too, its about carbohydrate in general, as the body turns carbohydrates into sugar. You might think you have a low sugar diet, but high glycaemic index carbs (GI) is basically doing the same same thing as eating sugar. Bread/pasta/potatoes/white and even brown rice are all foboden according to Dr Michael Moseley, the author of the book. Its about retraining your body to tap into the thousands of calories stored as fat.
