A share as thinly traded as this is bound to show signs of manipulation, since most trades are by MMs providing what little liquidity there is. Then there is clearly someone being accommodated to sell in an orderly fashion, given that tranches of 100k would, under normal circumstances, knock the SP for six. I'm not unduly bothered, I think MMs will let this rise when news warrants, as I say below.

IPP news expected early May. I expect that to be the catalyst for some positive movement around that time.

As expected for me; we are ~15% off our lows, not too high, not too low, nicely poised for news. I don't anticipate much movement either way until we get something from CB.

I agree there are better ways than a special dividend to add value to the share price. What mystifies me is why so little of the share buyback was used a few months ago, and now that we are at three or four month lows, with news on several fronts apparently imminent, why the chance to reduce shares in issue further is not being taken while the share price is cheap.

Not absolutely sure of the rules, but under certain circumstances I believe a seller does not have to report via RNS the percentage thresholds he passes until his selling is completed.

Yes, MMs love to have a crack at your stops; having to watch SBs like a hawk is their downside, unless you're in comfortable profit. We seem to be in a lull at the moment, but Factom M3 rollout next week may stimulate things - particularly if we start to get a list of clients, and wild card news such as sale of Leap could hit at any time.

I just tried the same. LG trading desk refused, said the stock was too illiquid to offer any more spreadbets. Still, I probably have enough.

Of course these tiny trades are not retail customers. They are MMs squaring their books or probing the book, or underlying shares from derivative trades, or who knows what else,. You can guarantee that even the dimmest punter generally does NOT make a trade worth thirteen pounds on which he pays a five pound trading fee.
